At the birth place of the legendary cyclist champion Bert Vermiere, a tasteful and original place with an imersive fruitful execution of Romanian cuisine exists and is open for anyone who wants a culinary experience. The location itself is gorgeous within the Belgium landscapes, surrounded by green pastures and nature, animals roaming around, small horses, and alpacas swop the grass from under your nose.
Under this great scenery, the service is impeccable, and the food provided is at the top level. As a Romanian myself, i can naturally evaluate and rate the level of my native cuisine, and they have it at top-notch.
Great menu options, fast execution in the kitchen, indoor and outdoor service all around the year, there is nothing i can think off that would degrade the overall experience at 'Sura Dacilor' in Beernem, at a 10 min drive from Brugge.
I definitely recommend a trip here for an all-inclusive life experience together with whomever you wish. Guaranteed...
Read moreWe are two English people currently living in Beernem and have visited this restaurant twice . What a complete revelation! It is absolutely fantastic in every way. The team is so friendly and welcoming. The food is sublime. I am a very fussy cook myself and I can find no reason to even season the food as it is perfect. The place is immaculate. The atmosphere is so positive. It is warm and happy. I would love to visit here every night and eat my way through the menu. There are dishes there that I have never even heard of. We absolutely recommend anyone to visit here and eat. The food is such a high standard. We visited last night on Valentines night and enjoyed the set menu, perfectly portioned, perfectly thought out, and utterly delicious with every mouthful. André… Your Lavender, cream cheese roulade…..EXQUISITE 💋.. Please show me how to make it before we move onto Germany? We salute you, and thank you. Ruth...
Read moreWe loved this Romanian restaurant. The ambience, the food, the service. As a Romanian, I can guarantee you that the food is authentic and very good quality. We were a small group of people who tasted many things from the menu - so I'd definitely recommend the soups (ciorbă rădăuțeană, ciorbă de burtă, ciorbă cu afumătură were super yummy), the mici are very good and big, and the meat plateau for 2 ppl was also an inspired choice. As dessert, we went for the papanași and we were not sorry. They have a good selection of Romanian drinks. The terasse...beautiful! This is the element that attracted us here to begin with: wide, green, traditional, with wooden benches and tables. Really authentic too. However, it is not a cheap restaurant. We must have paid about 50 / 60 euros pp, but we did not hold back on things...
