The worst diner experience in Belgium.
We were kept waiting for over 1.5 hours for the main courses after the starters were served and consumed & told by the chef that it was sop when you order starters ..? Never heard such nonsense ever.
Two of the 4 main courses were inedible and the third, tasteless! Only the 4th one was edible. The âsouris dâagneauâ, was dry as a âcoup de pied au culâ (pardon thĂ© expression which befits the experience) and a pasta that was limp and long over cooked! Obviously not the chefs forte.
After complaining about the inedible âsourisâ which was returned, we were offered a substitute. The replacement, an entrecĂŽte, also took a while to produce & was tough as a shoe sole to chew! Our dog however appreciated the fare.
A cook whom we presume is the owner, never bothered being humble about his errors or delays, brought out the entrecĂŽte with such a glare, that he made us all more uncomfortable than welcome, and finally,
To add insult to injury, the comped meal was added to the tab! When asked why, the waiter replied, it was at the specific request of the owner!!!!
It wasnât until I threatened to make a fuss that the owner acquiesced and withdrew the lesser expensive of the two meals!
The damage was done and after a long reflection I felt I had to make a point!
Michelin had a flat that night..., I guess it happens.
Never again...

   Read moreJâai mangĂ© plusieurs fois Ă La Fermette des Pins et je suis Ă chaque fois agrĂ©ablement surpris. Pour un restaurant de village, la cuisine est vraiment irrĂ©prochable : les plats sont savoureux, bien prĂ©sentĂ©s et constants dans la qualitĂ©.
Le personnel est trĂšs gentil et attentionnĂ©, mais il est clair quâils ne sont pas assez nombreux, ce qui se ressent dans le service, surtout en pĂ©riode de forte affluence.
Petit dĂ©tail qui ferait la diffĂ©rence : le verre du patron, qui nâest jamais proposĂ©. Ce nâest pas une obligation bien sĂ»r, mais ce genre dâattention renforce lâexpĂ©rience client et fidĂ©lise.
La carte des vins est bien pensée, avec la mention des cépages ! un vrai plus pour les amateurs.
Bref, beaucoup de positif et quelques ajustements simples à envisager pour que La Fermette des Pins devienne une adresse encore plus incontournable dans la région. Je...
