Boulangerie Ets Benoît Michels — Restaurant in Bouillon

After a long day’s work (I work with a truck) and having passed through several countries I stopped to rest the night in this town in Belgium. I took a short walk to Benoit Michels Boulangerie because I saw on Google that there was a vending machine to buy bread 🍞. On arrival I found the machine was empty and someone was leaving in their car. What a wonderful gesture when the gentleman turned around and asked what I needed. After a brief explanation he was very kind to open and sell me a loaf of bread, which I must say was delicious 😋. These gestures restore faith in mankind. Mercy...

Op de terugreis naar Nederland gingen we nog even bij de bakker langs voor vers brood.

We hebben expres gekozen voor de bakker en zijn niet naar de eerder gelegen Carrefour of ALDI gegaan.

Veel keuze qua brood was er niet, we hebben daarom gekozen voor 4 bolletjes en 2 pain au chocolat. Wat schrokken we enorm van de prijs, maar liefst € 5,20!!!!!

Nou, die broodjes moeten wel met heel veel liefde, aandacht en verse, dure ingrediënten zijn bereid. Benieuwd of we dat er ook aan afproeven.

Ook de mevrouw achter de balie vonden wij niet erg sympathiek. Mensen voor ons (ook Nederlanders) vroegen om het bonnetje, dat vond ze kennelijk heel bijzonder, want ze kon het niet nalaten om heel erg met haar ogen te draaien. Heel bizar.

Nou hier komen wij i.i.g. niet weer. Geen reclame voor...

Durante mi viaje desde Alemania hasta España hice parada en este lugar ee buena mañana, pues queria comprar algo para desayunar y encontré unos buenos croissants, pain au chocolat y una tartaleta de hojaldre y bizcocho que estaba deliciosa!! La cuenta total de 8'20€ incluye un café y pan para el viaje no me pareció en absoluto un precio elevado y si tienes en cuenta lo que cobran en las autoroutes por cualquier desayuno es incluso un regalo, asi que me guardo su dirección para el próximo viaje!! El señor que me atendió (francés) fue muy amable y tuvimos una conversación bastante amena, no había mas clientes en ese momento y quizás por ello charlamos un rato!! Muchas gracias y...
