Le Sweet's - Braine-l'Alleud — Restaurant in Braine-l'Alleud

The food is good but today's experience was horrible. I went to Le Sweet's on a short lunch break I had, to buy a sandwich for my wife and I. We only had 30 minutes to eat lunch... I placed my order for take away and when I went to pay at the cashier, I had to speak to the employee in English because I am not completely fluent in French. As soon as I went to pay, she approached me with the following sentence: "Your bank card must be from a Belgian bank, the machine does not accept international cards." Ok, but my card is from a Belgian bank, from ING bank.I showed her the card and she said: Your card is a credit card, it can't be a credit card, it has to be a debit card! I was surprised, because there is no notice ANYWHERE in the restaurant that credit cards are not accepted. Out of consideration, I had to leave the restaurant to look for an ATM to withdraw money... In short, until I found an ATM, a place to park and returned to the restaurant, 20 minutes passed and I lost my lunch. All of this could be avoided if the restaurant complied with the law and left a clear notice that CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. I say more, Belgium is the "capital" of the European Union, it receives tourists and people from all over Europe, so there should AT LEAST be a warning that international cards are not accepted either. This wasn't my case, but I had a credit card and had a horrible experience. That's too bad, because the food is very good, but due to what happened today, I won't be buying...

2 years on... I'm back here. This omelette is magical. And there are some real beautiful & lovely ladies serving it up. Nice ambiance they serve up. Keep up the good...

Service au top, toujours le sourire et la bonne humeur des le matin. De large choix de composition de sandwich, bien garnis, prix un peu excessif mais quand on voit le prix de la concurrence, on comprend pq, la qualité se paie Je...
