We were offered a voucher for a one night stay at this hotel as a gift. It was our first (and last) time in this hotel. The check-in was cold, the person who welcomed us (found out later to be one of the bosses) picked up the key and indicated the stairs to the room. The room nr. 3 was small, very hot, the flush was broken and there was water everywhere when we showered. It was too hot, the ventilator in the room was too noisy so we opened the window. The room was facing the terrace of the restaurant where clients and staff were making noise with loud music until after midnight. Reception was called about the noise. I couldn't sleep so I decided to take some things to the car and go for a walk. When I returned, around 00:30 all the doors were closed and I couldn't get in. I called the reception, no one was there and no one picked up the phone. My partner was in the room, so I called him to see if he could open the door from the inside. None of the doors were open. Everything was locked... I found it really weird: me locked outside and him locked inside.I spent the night calling the reception without success. Also sent them an e-mail. No answer at all. I decided to try to sleep in the car in the parking lot. You can imagine how my night was... I couldn't sleep at all and was still trying to call the reception to get to the room. Finally, at 7:00 someone picked up the phone! I was completely disturbed, couldn't sleep all night, I was tired and cold... The girl at the reception seemed shocked and told me there was a backdoor that opened with the same key of the room - at the checkin no one told us this essential information! Unbelievable! |I still slept a bit and had breakfast (really basic one). When we did the checkout I saw the person who did our check-in so we wanted explanations about this situation. The attitude was rude and arrogant. Pretending it was our fault and telling us that we should know the key of the room opens another door (that we did not even know existed!) as all the hotels have this system (really???)...Not even an apology and of course we have to give him the gift card, charging the full amount (105€) for a terrible night. I feel sorry for the good intentions of those who gave us this "wonderful" voucher to allow us to relax... :( |We leave a warning: do not offer gift vouchers for this property and make sure everything is explained at your check-in or you may end up sleeping on the street like me and still be charged!|Concerning the restaurant, we decided that we could have dinner there as we had a voucher for the night (of course before all this situation has happened!) Food was ok but expensive. Mediocre service: long time waiting to be served. One thing is sure:...

Read moreThis was not a great experience. The room: We stayed at was large and nicely built, yet upkeep was poor. The electoral outlets had all been disabled and the one that we could find looked like it was in poor condition. Tried to charge my phone, wasn't able to load it up to 25% in an entire night (where it usually it takes 2 hours to fully load. There was no soap and the furniture was worn. Breakfast. First of, I don't know if this is allowed in this country, but cheeses, meats, yogurt and milk are left out in the sun, uncooled. Aside from the mentioned , stale tiny buns, some old tiny croissants and some Nutella was all that was available. The orange juice placed next to the "breakfast" didn't seem to appetizing as it had fruitflies floating at the top, which the girl, who eventually showed up would scoop out from time to time. Total cost: 17.50 per person. I kid you not. It would also be nice if someone was there to greet you, instead of you having to look for them. Tip: either get a refrigerated display case or make breakfast packages for just guests on request. This wasn't just unappetizing, it's a health issue. Attached two pictures. Fyi, these are not pictures from our table, but of the entire "buffet". In the background a glimpse of the gentlemen's bathroom, where they took the door out for extra stimulants for eyes and nose... Dinner. Both dining area's (inside and outside) are decorated nicely. Unfortunately the rest of the dinner experience was in accordance with the rest. Staff seems to be uninterested in helping you. It took 10 minutes for someone to help us. Once we had ordered our drinks, we saw the staff members making themselves drinks , but we didn't get ours until dinner arrived. I'm not exaggerating for effect here. The orange juice ordered cost 6 Euro's per glass for a tiny tiny glass of orange juice diluted with water and a ton of ice cubes. As for the dinner it self, tough if you have allergies, are bound to dietary restrictions or have certain beliefs, cause what they offer is pretty much from one single Food Group: meat. They prepare the food by drowning it in butter. Not sure the chef is aware , but the WHO advises a maximum of 6 grams, not 25 per meal.. Lord. Never had anything this salty. Again the food is not cheap, which would be worth it had it been...
