Violi Modern Italian Steak House — Restaurant in Dendermonde

Randomly looking around for an italian restaurant brought us to 'Violi' near Dendermonde.

The person who welcomed us was very friendly and was pretty fast in his service. Next to that, it's a lovely place and well decorated with wonderful music.

The price is very reasonable and the drink (Cava) was of good quality.

I had the 'Home Made Lasagna', and sadly it was nothing to write home about. It was WAY TOO SALTY (coming from someone who adds lots of salt on most dishes). The tomato sauce was very basic and not enough cheese to go with it.

My friend had a better experience with the 'Spaghetti Carbonara'. It was well balanced.

A lovely place...

We didn't expect to find good Italian food in Dendermonde, but were certainly wrong. This place was excellent .We had a pasta a glass of wine and the best steak 🥩 . The attention to detail was noticeable-the steak was very fresh and perfectly composed. I definitely recommend...

We waren met 3 personen en namen een sharing plank bij de aperitief. We vonden dat een kleine plank, zeker voor 23€. Drankjes zijn ook niet goedkoop. Water kost 6€ voor 0,5l. Daarna 1 keer de penne con salmone en met 2 de tomahawk. De penne was niet al dente, gewoon niet gaar. Smaak was op zich oké maar niet wauw. Voor de tomahawk betaalden we uiteindelijk 90€(!) plus nog 6€ voor 2 minipotjes warme saus. Dat vonden we toch goed doorgerekend. En eigenlijk was het vlees ook niet super. We hebben al lekkerder gegeten voor veel minder. Jammer want het ziet er heel mooi uit met een schitterend terras in de avondzon. Het is alleen te duur voor...
