Bayo Eet- en Sfeerhuis — Restaurant in Diksmuide

I wanted to pay the bill by bank card, the first process was cancelled, at least that's what the waitress said. So I tried to pay a second time and it worked. The next working day I realized that the amount had been debited from my account twice.

I informed them of this (also with bank statements) and asked several times for a refund of the double payment.

Response was only Belgian babble whether I have an invoice number. No, I don't because I don't have a receipt from the payment terminal but I have bank statements and sent them to these people...

So absolutely nothing more happened, this nasty hut doesn't care about anything.

I strongly advise against a visit, no matter how hungry or thirsty you are. Conclusion: One of the inconvenient places...

Terrible main courses and bad and unprofessional service. We arrived on a Sunday with a group of friends for lunch, the place was mostly empty when we arrived. Yet, it took them almost 2 hours to serve us, they barely apologised for it and still managed to charge us two extra dishes that we had not ordered.

Stoofvlees was 22€ and yet very bad, stew tasted like knorr bouillon with maizena, no flavour to it, same for Vol au vent... Only fries...

Met een groep groter dan twee personen is het niet raadzaam dit restaurant te bezoeken. Wij waren er met 50 personen en hadden in overleg met de uitbater alle menukeuzes ruim van te voren afgesproken. Wij hadden berekend dat ongeveer ruim 2,5 uur voldoende zou zijn om ons menu geserveerd te krijgen. Dat bleek een misrekening. De vooraf bestelde en afgesproken menu's konden op enig moment niet geserveerd worden omdat de voorraad op was en iemand in plaats van een halve kip genoegen moest nemen met een frikandel . Lol hebben we wel gehad, zeker als na lang wachten weer een bord uit de keuken kwam dat dan met licht gejuich werd begroet. We zouden daarna de IJzertoren bezoeken, maar dat plannetje kon door de organisatorische puinhoop bij het restaurant niet doorgaan. Wel moet gezegd worden dat de wel geserveerde menu's door de groep als goed werden gekwalificeerd. De excuses van de uitbater hebben we wel gehoord, maar...
