La Table de Manon — Restaurant in Durbuy

We were really looking forward to dining here over the holidays, while visiting family in the region. Sadly, our entire experience was an tremendous disappointment. From the moment we arrived and were told to go seat ourselves at a particular table... not the welcome you expect from a Michelin star restaurant. We all took the menu of the season, which included amuse bouches that tasted stale (or previously frozen), followed by courses that were strange mixes of seafood (which tasted extremely strong) and meat, and even cheese. The main dishes were almost inedible. I personally had the lotte, that was served to me with a large portion of rubbery/blubbery skin attached that I had to eat around. Others had a dish with venison tartare, which was so salty, they couldn't eat it. We aren't very picky eaters, but this was surprisingly awful. The worst part, however, was the service, with servers who recited scripts of ingredients, while never even looking at us. And when we expressed our disappointment with the portion of lotte I was served, they responded with aggorgance as if it were our own fault! Lastly, the atmosphere is dated and sad. I chose this place to celebrate my husband's birthday. We chose the Inspiration Gourmande Menu, which was a good choice overall, most pleasantly impressed we were with the raw tuna and the calf sweetbread. Very nice plating of each course with very good combination of different ingredients, very creative ,but one dish was for us personally way too salty, we could not feel the flavor of the food. The quantity compared to other restaurants in the same category of stars is indeed minimalist, but we must also take into account the price of the menu which is decent. Table service was good, except for one waiter who served my husband first and then me, which does not meet culinary standards of service. We were asked if we wanted to sit outside on the terrace or inside, we chose to sit outside and this turned out not to be a good choice as both my husband and I found these chairs very uncomfortable, that top bar is extremely uncomfortable at the back ,which made us want to leave as soon as possible. We would come back to this place ?maybe ,but we would definitely choose to stay inside and maybe try...

J'ai eu le plaisir de dîner en décembre 2022 à La Table de Manon, et je suis encore sous le charme de cette expérience culinaire exceptionnelle. Ce restaurant gastronomique est un véritable bijou, où le service et le repas se sont unis pour créer une soirée mémorable.

Dès que j'ai franchi la porte, l'atmosphère élégante et chaleureuse m'a accueilli. L'attention portée aux détails dans la décoration a créé une ambiance raffinée et confortable, parfaite pour une soirée spéciale. L'équipe en salle a été incroyablement attentionnée tout au long de la soirée, anticipant chacun de mes besoins sans jamais être envahissante.

Maintenant, parlons du repas - une véritable œuvre d'art gustative. Chaque plat était une explosion de saveurs et de textures, témoignant de l'expertise et de la créativité du chef. Les ingrédients frais et de haute qualité étaient magnifiquement présentés, et chaque bouchée était une découverte de nouvelles combinaisons de goûts. Le menu offrait une variété de choix, mettant en valeur des ingrédients locaux et de saison.

Le sommelier était également d'une grande aide, suggérant avec précision des accords mets-vins qui ont sublimé chaque plat. Les vins sélectionnés ont ajouté une dimension supplémentaire à l'expérience, complétant parfaitement les saveurs proposées.

En somme, La Table de Manon est bien plus qu'un simple restaurant, c'est une expérience gastronomique inoubliable. Si vous recherchez un endroit où la passion pour la cuisine se marie à un service impeccable, ne cherchez pas plus loin. J'ai hâte de revenir pour explorer davantage le menu et profiter de l'hospitalité exceptionnelle de cet établissement.
