Far from our expectations for a 2 Michelin star restaurant.

Don’t get me wrong - the place is beautiful, with wonderful decor and every table is set with magnificent cutlery and refined cups. We also loved the selection of wines and bubbles - and were delighted to discover delicious wines outside of the “big names”. However, on the night we visited, the overall food and service were below expectations.

I will start with the service. As you would expect at a restaurant of this status - coats were taken off at the entrance, staff asked about dietary restrictions and adapted (more on that later), staff was always polite/etiquette-oriented when serving and taking out plates and drinks, etc. However, I cannot celebrate a service that treats men and women differently. While my boyfriend was always asked by staff if the dish was to his liking, I couldn’t help but notice that I was not, even though my dishes were different from his (due to my dietary restrictions). This happened several times during the experience and is, in my opinion, unacceptable - in any restaurant.

Onto the food. We came to this restaurant - as I presume most people do when visiting a Michelin star - to be amazed… and unfortunately we were simply not. While the ingredients are indeed expensive (i.e.: truffle, foie gras, lobster, etc.), the way in which they were presented felt “ordinary” and not always well linked with the overall dish. I must say that some parts of the dishes were very good - beetroot in the foie gras dish were very tasty and shrimps in the second starter were cooked perfectly. The pain artisanal and olive oil were amazing and the dessert (unfortunately not pictured) was also really good. However, some things were hard to get over: not all rice grains in the risotto were cooked through (you could feel them stuck in your teeth), the panipuri were cold and mushy (two things that fried dishes should not be) and mushrooms were served raw (yes, they had gold sparkles on them, but they were tiny raw mushrooms). On top of that, the adaptation to a diet without meat was quite disappointing. For example, the alternative starter was called a “salmon tartare” but was the smoked salmon from the amuse bouche cut differently and served with the vegetables from the foie gras, which did not match the salmon. The alternative dish - sole with mushrooms and crevettes grises - was also underwhelming (see picture). When you book months in advance and share your dietary restrictions at the time of the reservation, more planning is expected.

Based on our experience at this specific dinner, we won’t be coming back and would unfortunately not recommend a visit - especially if you have any dietary restrictions. I hope improvements will be made to accommodate customers with a vegetarian or pescatarian diet, as well as to make sure that everyone is...

Wonderful place where food, wine and ambiance is top notch. Just make sure you are with the right company that appreciates it. The creative variations of the mocktails was worth it as well.

Even with many dietary requirements, they adapt in stead of just leaving things out. It makes it for everybody enjoyable without need to worry.

The pace of serving is excellent to allow more than enough time to have actual conversations and discussions. (Hence the need for good company whether business or personal as eating in silence here is wasting the...
