Pattaya (Restaurant) — Restaurant in Evergem

Pattaya was simply AMAZING! We had a great time over there. It was really fun. We also talked to the owner who gave us two shots of vodka (Bitterball) and this was really good. The food was also good. But, we also had a lot of drinks. And these drink were also good. So overall it was really good. We are definitely going back to Pattaya because it was really good! I think the owner is a really good owner. And he looks like a good human. The people over there were also really friendly. There was a little worm in the oyster but the worm was no problem for us. We also really liked the oysters. There were very big and fleshy. So they were good. The steak was also really good. I myself did not go to the toilet, but I heard from other people that is a good toilet. Thank you Pattaya!...

This restaurant makes quality Belgian food. Due to its location, it is not frequented by tourists and a testament to its worth is that it is well-supported by the locals that live in the surrounding area. As tourists, we were lucky that friends of ours that live locally brought us here as the quality was far better than we had been experiencing in some of the same level restaurants in Gent that serve Belgian fare, but mainly to tourists. Depending on your definitions, this restaurant is at the level of brasserie slightly more than bistro. The service was prompt and unobtrusive, the portion sizes were good and the meals properly prepared. Één maal geweest en nooit meer. Waren de enige waarvan da jassen niet werden aangenomen. Ik bestelde mij een spagetti, er werd mij gevraagd of dit een gewone of kinderspagetti moest zijn. Hetzelfde voor een persoon die vol-au-vent bestelde. Ik ben dan mss wel 23 jaar maar heb niet meteen het uitzicht van iemand die weinig kan eten. Van het eten zelf werden we ook niet gelukkig. De kaas die bij mijn spagetti hoorde lag allemaal al op de spagetti zelf en niet in een potje appart zoals vrijwel overal. En de hoeveelheid kaas was niet weinig. Die vol-au-vent was meer een in 4 gesneden kip en was bovendien ook niet lekker. Er zaten volgens ook andere stukken vlees tussen (volgens ons varkenslapje). Toen wij hierover iets vroegen zij men dit uit te zoeken, maar daar hebben we niets meer van vernomen. Netjes is het erwel maar terug gaan doen wij...
