Coqueluche — Restaurant in Ghent

The food here is very nice, and prices are rather affordable (not cheap though). The staff is very friendly, but sometimes they are calling from 1 side of the restaurant to the other to ask a question. So that's something you don't really expect in the restaurant.

There are no vegetarian options. None. But when we made the reservation for a group, we asked for 1 vegetarian menu and they obliged. So the made a vegetarian pasta for the person that is vegetarian

The restaurant isn't very big, I was in a place where there was a lot of traffic by the staff. Bumping into me rather often. So it's not the best feeling if you see them coming with very hot plates, pots of hot sauce...

We went for dinner as a large group (14 people) and Denis and his team made us feel so welcome and accommodated our needs perfectly. Offering recommendations and running through the menu with us, and continously checking to see that we were OK. The food itself was beautiful and fresh, and met everyone's tastes....

vandaag vierden wij er de verjaardag van Jacqueline, de mama van Michèle. Door omstandigheden onafhankelijk van onze wil waren we twee uur te laat. Wie mij kent weet hoe hard dit op mijn zenuwen werkt. Dit belette het team van Dennis, Joyce en Jürgen niet om ons, desalniettemin bijzonder gastvrij te ontvangen. Een verademing na de stress onder het besef van het te laat zijn. De bediening door Dennis, die wellicht veel meer dan hij lief heeft, dezelfde stem en non verbale communicatie hanteert als zijn vader Juan, is de precies juiste cocktail van informatie en humor. De verhouding prijs kwaliteit is optimaal. Zowel de dranken als de gerechten zijn zeer scherp geprijsd in het voordeel van de klant. De smaken zitten goed en de keuze van de huiswijnen is verassend speciaal en lekker. Niet de eerste maal dat we het zeggen maar, om het niet te vergeten: we’ll be back.
