Brasserie Brouwershof — Restaurant in Haacht

Really nice place. Decoration was really well done, brewery themed. Copper boiler and pipes all fit it really nicely! Nice layout on the inside, too. Menu card was unique, with titles in the local dialect. I ordered spare ribs, with the suggestion beer that was on the menu (Primus, locally brew), and was not disappointed. Very well cooked and neatly presented. Also pricing was about what you'd expect from a decent looking place.

Only minor point is when I arrived, no guests where there yet. This meant we could hear something making a bit of noise, probably a stove or something. Was a bit annoying, but from the moment other guests arrived talking suppressed the noise.

Wat een teleurstelling was dit! Allereerst, het personeel. Zuchten en blazen. Ze hadden er duidelijk geen zin in of waren uitgeblust. Nogtans was het nog maar middag... Vriendelijke waren ze ook niet bepaald. Het eten was zo mogelijk de grootste teleurstelling. We wouden een eenvoudige lunch. Videe had letterlijk geen smaak, enorm flauw en fleps, steak was bien cuit en geen a Point zoals gevraagd, en de pastasaus was ook niet om over te stoefen. De frietjes bij de videe waren ondermaatse diepvries friet, taai en bovendien lauw. De wachttijd kon ook tellen, maar liefst een uur na onze bestelling kregen we ons eten voorgeschoteld. Het was er nogtans niet zo enorm druk.

De zaak liep voller en omg wat een lawaai. Ik heb al in volle voetbalkantines gestaan waar het rustiger was. Je kon werkelijk niet ontspannen eten en praten. Alles galmde en klonk... Zeer storend!

Wij gaan wekelijks meermaals lunchen en dineren, dit is werkelijk ondermaats!

Op elk vlak was het een afknapper! Het enige wat positief was, het is een mooi pand en heeft een gezellige tuin. Maar dit vind je op andere locaties ook en zijn ze wel vriendelijk. Is het eten wel in orde. Krijg je wel een vriendelijk woord bij aankomst en vertrek...

Après avoir visité l’arboretum de ce village nous sommes allés vers cette Belle brasserie et sa terrasse au jardin très agréable. Qualité valable. Personnel gentil (ne parle pas français) mais…. qu’est-ce que le service était lent🤦‍♀️ plus d’1h30. Nous étions un groupe de marcheurs d’environ 18 personnes. En guise d’excuse le café nous a été offert. Je recommanderais à ce restaurant que, lorsqu’un groupe réserve, ils proposent dès le départ, un choix d’une carte limitée … comme nous avons régulièrement lors de nos balades.

After visiting the arboretum’s village we went to this Beautiful brasserie and its terrace settled in a very pleasant garden. Valid quality. Nice staff (does not speak French) but.... the service was extremely slow🤦‍♀️ more than 1h30. We were a group of walkers of about 18 people. As an excuse, the coffee was offered to us. Thanks for that. But. I would recommend to this restaurant that, when a group books in advance, they suggest from the start, a choice of a limited menu... as we regularly have...
