We returned to this restaurant with enthusiasm, having fond memories of our first visit (see below), but this time, it was a real disappointment. We ordered meat rare, but it arrived well-done, and the aperitif glasses stayed on the table throughout the meal, never cleared away. The archiduc sauce, for its part, had an unpleasant taste, reminiscent of powdered mixes. And, to add to the letdown, the chocolate 'moelleux' which had clearly been overheated, had turned into more of a chocolate cake.
To top it off, the table next to us had to send their cold dishes back to the kitchen. We were informed the usual chef was on vacation today.
Sure, the 10% discount for the inconvenience was appreciated, but honestly, it doesn't make up for a spoiled experience. For your reputation and to avoid losing loyal customers, please address these issues. Such a shame to see the drop in quality.

Read moreI came from California and have been to Belgium MANY times. This was one of the best restaurants we have been to in all of my trips (and very surprised that it was in Hannut!). The ambiance is amazing, the price and value is fantastic, the food exceeded expectations, and the service was very attentive and friendly. The vol au vent was one of the best we've had in Belgium. My boyfriend and I shared a steak for two with frites and salad with garlic butter, and it was amazing. The service was welcoming and got we were able to walk in on a Tuesday night at 8pm without a problem. Definitely a MUST visit if you're looking for a great...
