Steakhouse Jara — Restaurant in Hechtel-Eksel

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The star is for the 'salad bar'. Otherwise, it was extremely disappointing. The prices are high and what you get is certainly not worth the price. Nowhere near. I ordered a rack of lamb cooked 'rose' and it was served over cooked on the outside and raw in the middle. Any good cook knows how lamb should be served. For 27Euros, I expected something good. What I got was a small, bad quality, badly cooked piece of meat. Actually the worst I have ever been presented. Thank God for the salad bar, because that was my meal. Expensive salad! This is the first time I returned food at a restaurant. The chef did come to our table and exclaimed ' this is the best that it gets'! Nothing was offered to try and placate the customer... The 'rack of lamb' was on the bill. On asking the owners about it the answer was 'we find nothing wrong with it'. In other words, the customer is not important. This really made for the quick end of what was supposed to be special evening. Needless to say, I will not go back there, and cannot recommend it to others. Dat heeft heeeeel lang geduurd. Om 19 hr gereserveerd pas om 21 hr ons eten gekregen. De salad bar was half leeg en niet bijgevuld en warm ipv fris. Ik had filet pur dat is een dure biefstuk en gevraagd blue dus rauw van binnen en ik kreeg tussen saignant en bien cuit. Ik had dus gezegd dat het niet lekker was en kreeg van de serveerster te horen dat ik dat eerder moest zeggen en een nieuwe biefstuk kon krijgen. Wel ik heb haar gezegd dat ik niet nog eens twee uur ging wachten op een nieuwe steak. Het duurde ook minstens 20 minuten alvorens ze kwamen vragen of we al iets wilden drinken.
