Coming from the United States and being able to travel all across Europe was a privilege, but one which pales in comparison to the gift of having been able to visit this bakery. I ate A LOT of baked goods from France, Belgium, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. If I was to go back to one, it would without a doubt be Bakkerij Philip. This is the best bakery. Everything I had was delicious. The eclairs were my favorite, fresh and perfectly sweet.

The bakery poses a classical question for someone an ocean away: is it better to have loved and to have lost, or have never known love at all? I believe it is better to have loved since I have been to...
