Café aux Chéras — Restaurant in Houffalize

Nice restaurant with a terrace to have lunch or dinner. We preferred sitting inside, because the weather was a bit chilly. Next visit I hope to enjoy sitting outside on the terrace, although the view on the parking is really not that interesting. The restaurant has a big parking space though.

Service was very friendly and they let my charge my laptop for free. The food was very good: prepared with fresh ingredients and the portions were big.

Found this place, Oct 5th 2023. It was the best food and drink establishment that we found in the bastogne area. The bartender spoke perfect English and his wife made the best tasting hamburger. We needed a bottle opener with a cork screw...they had one that they let us have. This place is on our list to...

J'ai commandé un steak saignant, je l'ai reçu à point...Il était dur comme une semelle de chaussure...Filandreux. La sauce au poivre, c'était de la sauce tout droit sortie d'un sachet genre Knorr mais cela n'est pas encore très grave mais il est dommage d'avoir de moins en moins souvent une vrais bonne sauce crème au poivre... L'important selon moi dans ce genre de brasserie devrait être de faire simple mais avec des produits de qualité. Ils se sont donné la peine de faire une jolie assiette (une cuillère de purée de patate douce, quelques éléments décoratifs) mais ne maîtrisent pas la cuisson d'un steak, ce qui est la base. Nous y sommes allé parce-que la réputation de l'établissement était bonne mais il semblerait qu'il y ai eu un changement de gérants...Je ne vois pas d'autre...
