The place is beautiful! Almost in the center of Brussels, you feel like you are in the woods. We got there by car. The parking spots were almost full at 11am. We went with a big group of 10 people, 2 kids and a small dog on a late summer sunny Sunday. We could not enter with the dog (as was expected) but they set a long table for us on their terass. The restaurant is simple but solid. All food was good and portion sizes were decent. The star of the menu is certainly the dessert section with homemade ice cream (it's really really good!!) and homemade waffles (also very good).
The service was quick, professional and very attentive with a nice human touch. They made sure elder guests were comfortable and went out of their way for us several times without being asked. The food for all of us arrived almost simultaneously. Impressive kitchen work for a rather small place.
We chose the place for its proximity to a very nice playground. The bigger part is for older kids 6+ and absolutely stellar. Long slides and exciting off the ground play paths. The small part right next to the tarrass was well suited for kids aged 3 and 4. They had great fun there as well as exploring the surrounding woods. All in all a very...

The unfortunate element is the very slow and totally chaotic service with for example order taken, then forgotten due to other distractions, difficult to get server attention (they seem to have mastered the disabling of any peripheral vision), water served without glasses, etc.. Plenty of staff though but completely disorganised and by trying to please everyone they fail miserably in keeping things organised and giving everyone a 'normal' level of service. A great pity considering the potential of the place, and if great service is not your top priority I can definitely recommended the place due to location and...
Read moreI would give 5 stars for the sumptuous location, overlooking a large open space in the forest.
I would give 3 stars for the friendly, but a bit sloppy waiters.
I would give 2 stars, because everytime I visited, I had to endure the fumes of smokers at a table next to me.There is really no reason to create a non-smoking area. It's large enough.
But eventually I give my worst rating ever: Just behind the playground, a few steps down, is an abandoned pond. Children may go there outside of the view from the terrace. They may slip in the water and drown undetected. There seems to have been some fence a long time ago; some remains are visible,...
