Sugar killer! I visited the store on 3 September after vacation. Again and again, lots of sugar in the latte. When I asked why it was to much sweet, she replied it’s vanilla. Gosh! I will boycott Starbucks, and call others to take action against this sugar consortium! ————— I visited the store on 11 June 2019. Again, the iced caramel macchiato was simply full of milk, water, sugar, and almost no taste of coffee! The store spoiled my day every time I dropped by. I suggest the barista should go to Leuven Central station Starbucks store to order the same drink to compare. I hope she/he will learn that what she/he made here in Hervelee was really really terrible and unacceptable! This time, I wrote a long message separately to the Starbucks customer service with the hope that the company can train the barista team better such as instruct them how to make a right coffee, and how to maintain the coffee machine everyday, store and preserve the beans, and so on. I visited the store on 28 January 2019. And again, it confirmed my judgement that the barista there was unskillful. They simply cannot make a right coffee: too bitter or too sweet. I returned after 2 months September 2018, it is getting worse: very very sweet in comparison with other Starbucks stores I have visited. Again, when I asked the new barista (new again) he made it extremely bitter. I suggest if anyone want a modest coffee, avoid this place!!! An iced caramel macchiato was disastrously a sweetened beverage with little coffee flavour. It may be due to their skill of pressing the grind coffee and mixing. When I ordered another one and asked not so sweet, it turned out very bitter. Another problems: music is extremely noisy and loudly even in early morning, and the membership scan has still broken even after our fifth...
Read moreI used to love Starbucks back when I was younger. Now I paid 7,30 euro for a medium frappucino with caramel. The fancy cups days you see on the pictures are over. Now you get that size, but halved, and in a paper cup (so the whipped cream isn’t even filled above the top. I paid 7,30 for half a cup of coffee and half a cup of whipped cream. Above all, it tasted really bad. When I went back to tell her I really didn’t like it, she said “it’s the way it’s going to be now, I can’t do anything for you”, in a kind of unprofessional way. I explained everything in dutch, and she answered everything in English (so she understood me?) After this awful situation I got yesterday, I’m afraid to say it was the very last time I ever stepped in...
Read moreFriendly staff, but ridiculously overpriced (€3.55 for a cookie, €5.25 for a small, simple hot chocolate (?!)) and restrictive and unpredictable business hours that apparently change randomly according to their mood (supposedly opens at 7:00 and closes at 20:00, but they sometimes open at 7:30 and close at 16:00 (!) and hang a temporary board/paper at the door with the new/temporary business hours (?!)). The convenience store in the same building is open until 23:00 and has Milka cookies for ~half the price and Starbucks machines that sell hot chocolate for €3 with no...
