Frituur Patattenbos — Restaurant in Lommel

Just went there to buy something to eat and end up buying some fries speciaal sauce. Problem is I arrived home the fries were all soft and destroyed because of the extreme quantity of sauce of the top of the fries instead of the sauce being separated from the fries on the corner. To eat in the stop it works if you take them home and you still have a bit to go they will not be eatable anymore. No one likes soft fries. At least I don't. The owner was very nice and helpful but putting more sauce than fries to the point that is not possible to eat is just money sent to the bin. And I was doing the math now and 9 euros for this fries and a frinkadel is more expensive than buying in Rotterdam with quality. I'm not coming back here and I don't advice no one to go. I'm very...

Brilliant place. Super friendly owner (or staff), very helpful with describing possible food options for a tourist wanting to experience some typical Belgian fried food. Was even able to order a brilliant dish from outside the menu. Also, plenty of vegan and vegetarian food options.

Beslist geen slechte friture: mijn vrouw vond met name het haantje lekker. Maar wat betreft de frieten, daar valt nog wel het een en ander aan te verbeteren.

Parkeersituatie ter plaatse is een beetje onoverzichtelijk: het heeft mij dan ook behoorlijk wat moeite gekost, om uit te parkeren.

Want een klein busje blokkeerde mij het zicht op de doorgaande weg, waardoor ik mijn vrouw heb moeten laten uitstappen om te kijken of er verkeer aankwam! Dit is geen verwijt naar de friture, maar wel iets om bewust van te zijn.

Toen wij aankwamen waren er namelijk bijna geen auto's geparkeerd, echter toen wij vertrokken stond het helemaal vol. Daar had ik natuurlijk geen rekening...
