Gatsby - What a movie! So naturally, when I saw this place I thought - I wanted to have me some of that luxurious feeling. Coming in, it looked absolutely stunning, interior was fluffy and dressed in fabric, lights were dim and warm. Chairs did not look comfy as I am a proper human being that is over 100kg, but to my surprise - they were! Now - please bear in mind that there are two sides of every coin, so let me tell you about the shiny one first. The food was crazy good - Pork knuckle was perfectly cooked, and seared wonderfully, and the portion size was really good for the price. As I am coming from Croatia, and we know our pig meat, you guys have 10/10 for this meal (Hint: serve MLINCI with this for 11/10). The lady I was with had some Burger, also looking very delicious, and she was happy with the size (yeah...women rarely are...hehe). The starter in the form of oven baked camember was good, but when you say garlic bread, I would like garlic bread and not some toasted bread with a few garlic cloves. Garlic was nicely baked though! Coctails were tasty, and I got a little ducky in mine - luckily, the waiter was male, if it was a female and I get a itty-bitty ducky cuz i'm that cute, my lady friend would not be happy. Now, let's see the less shiny side of the coin. We were seated plenty far from the toilet, but the smell of the cleaning supplies was as strong as it is in the Serbian club after Aca Lukas concert. I do not know what happened previously in that bathroom but the clenaing lady went RAMBO in there, spent 300e of Domestos. My eyes were crying, and I wasn't even sad. Also, there was a note of "my friends were here yesterday, smoked 23 packs of cigarettes and spilled wine and I tried to hide it with perfume" smell. Not sure if this is a club during the weekend but dude c'mon, no, please no! Parking was free and nice, staff was polite and not really fast, but the food was good so itnwas worth it. When I was paying I had to feed money to the robot. That was strange, it's ok for a parking garage or a condom machine but in a restaurant? To sum up - come here on friday once it is aired out properly, and sit near the front door so that Chernobyl-Toilet can't touch you, and you will be awarded with above average food. And a robot to feed him you money. Robot machine. To pay. A restaurant. Who stole from you owner? Don't be afraid of your staff.
7/10 would...
Read moreFamily and children friendly restaurant with a children game room filled with big size lego bricks, plenty of space to accomodate different kind of clients. Very nice and large choice of drinks and cocktails available, delightful dish and desserts in large choice available. We visited a couple fo time now, all in all very nice restaurant at affordable cost. Although there issues, very few dish available for vegetarians and even less for vegans, 2 kind of salad (without seasoning) and few dishes. Few times the side dishes were served almost cold (potatoe mash and fries), the portion are very small (very small basket of fries served with main dishes or on the side) although they are served at will with most of the meat and fish dishes. The game room is very small and next to the toilet room in the back so you have no visibility from the dining room, the lego bricks are nice but my child get very easily bored after sometime, could use some other games for early age childrens onward. The proximity of the road with heavy traffic breaks a it the atmosphere and ambiance, and despite having a parking there are people that park right in front of the restaurant against the curb and almost blocking any cars from using the parking spot available as you try to pull back to go out. Saturday and sunday evening are usually busy. Hopefully the management will take in consideration these remarks to improve these gaps...
