Chalet des Bruyères — Restaurant in Mont-de-l'Enclus

I cannot recommend this place any more! A friend and I came to this part of Belgium to watch the Tour of Flanders bike race. We stayed in our camper van next to a beautiful park and by chance the Chalet des Bruyeres was a few feet away. Jan and his family were so welcoming for our entire stay. They opened early so we could drink a coffee and use the bathroom, then shut late so we could drink wonderful Belgian beers with the locals after a long day. I can say that this is one of the best pub/restaurants I've ever been to. No fancy frills, just a warm and friendly atmosphere you can spend hours in making new friends. We hope to be back next year....

Very enjoyable tea house after weekend hiking. The terrace is the true value for visitors. Well lit with sunshine but shadowed properly under surrounding greens. Pair it with blue sky and you hardly find a better place to rest and sip a cup of tea or spoil yourself with ice-cream. The cutest vibe, BEST food, and the staff was so friendly. We came in only speaking English and with a bunch of kids. Everyone including other guests were so nice to us and gave menu recommendations and made us feel welcome....
