Brasserie Den Tram — Restaurant in Overijse

I must say, a restaurant with strong local support means everything. There was a strong sense of community, and it was evident! On the positive note, the ambience was great! Modernized/classy, with the terrace outside for the sunny day. The only thing I noticed was that: due to the sunny day extra windows, the interior was a bit warmer. But no big deal, it's was great

The service was nice, mainly students from what i saw. They were engaging, but i felt like the ambience was relaxed (maybe too relaxed..). But they were friendly, and i appreciated that a lot! Strong sense of community, everyone knows each other.

The food was where I sensed a similar problem to other restaurants / brasserie in Overijse and other placed outside Brussels. The problem is: These restaurants are very used to serving locals. Those who are regulars, and even those who come because of proximity. There are various reasons. But my point here is the taste of the dishes. The meal was good, but not necessarily something that will leave a memory, or something that will lift me up. I had the same thing to say about other restaurants/ brasseries in Overijse and outside Brussels, it's not only this restaurant. The menu was also interesting, they had many choices, even plenty of menu items for children! The menu was similar to other Brasseries I've visited

This place is recommended for family outings, but I think the quality of the food can improve. I tried a mocktail, it didn't really strike an impression...

A really good place for a drink but definitely not for the food. A little overpriced for what you actually get. The staff was fine, the manager was at least reasonable. I was hoping to have a good time coming here with my boyfriend and his parents since they've never been here before. Although I think our order was forgotten because we waited a good 45 minutes for 3 steaks and a wok plate to arrive. Moreover the wok plate got an overwhelming sesame taste to it, and too much poppy seeds as "garnish". It was sadly not a good experience...

Good menu, food is very good, prices correct and very friendly service. Great place to eat or just have a drink. Large choice of drinks, tap beers and different foods (from simple snacks to large salads, pasta, steaks and even daily suggestions). Nicely decorated, clean and with easy access and plenty of parking. Important to note that it's under new management since a few months and it's a great improvement ; consider that when reading...
