We ordered a take away last week during lockdown, decided to go to nearest curry place. We do not usually eat there as it smells damp masked by bad inscence. When we rang they said one hour pick up which we thought was OK. When the husband arrived he was made to wait a further 25 minutes for the food to arrive. This is at a time we are not supposed to hang about in public places. Had they said 90 mins we may not have ordered. We had used the on line menu we ordered two starters and three vegetable dishes and 2 breads. The starters the Begum fry was the nicest thing about the whole meal, that is worth the one star, shame about the rest. The chicken tikka three tiny lumps of chicken and a box of salad. Main we asked for 3 vegetarian dishes from the vegetarian selection in the menu, it turned out were all side dishes size this is not specified on the menu, so good job we were not that hungry or expecting it to feed three people. The Paneer with spinach was blended so the paneer was mushed in tiny fragments in the spinach, it was ok to taste not spicy but really did not look appealing more like baby food. The Chick pea curry was absolutely tasteless we make better at home. The Bindi was just about OK but again not very spicy. The bread was just about fine one portion of rice thrown in. Ok the veggie dishes were priced up cheaper than meat but then chick peas per kilo is less than chicken so we did not twig it was for side dishes, maybe should have been a hint. Next time we will use the curry house in Tervuren the indian hut which is much superior and we have used for both take...
Read moreRosey and her husband, the new owners since about 2 years now already, just took over the restaurant when all everything went in total lock down. Yet, they continued to work hard and never gave up believing in their new baby. Totally new in the business as well, my hat of for the both of you! You have done so well! We usually do take-away, but this week, we came to eat at the restaurant and that was such a treat! The display of the food, the colors, the beauty of the served food, Rosey's kindness, very devoted couple to make sure you have everything you need, it almost feels like coming to their home for diner. It was absolutely delicious, and to me also important, the luxury of having the parking in front of the door is wonderful....
Read moreservice is done well, staff is very friendly that includes the owners that had told us a little backstory of the food served. however indian restaurants have food that are sweet based or salt based, this resturant will have sweet based meals such as the butter chicken many people commonly order. ( if you expect a salty butter chicken it is but has a hint of sweetness that some other indian resturants don’t include). in conclusion the food is very good i would 100 recommend...
