I went to this restaurant with a few friends and we didn’t have the experience we were looking for. We booked for 1pm, we arrived on time (maybe five minutes earlier) and a waitress showed us our table. So far, so good. After a few minutes, we were asked what we wanted to have as aperitif. We said we didn’t want any and that we went there for lunch (just to eat). The waiter looked at us like we were rubbish and only said “ok then, no aperitif”. I think he expected us to take something to drink and the fact that we didn’t disappointed him. In any case, his reaction was weird. We then ordered our main dishes and one starter, by specifying that the starter was shared between two of us.

The same waiter came back later with the starter and no additional plate. So, we reminded him that the starter was shared and he brought us two plates and two forks, piled up in a “do it yourself” mood. Then, ten minutes passed. Other ten passed. And other ten minutes passed. No trace of our dishes. After forty minutes since the starter arrived, I pointed out to the waiter that we had been waiting for a long time and I asked where our dishes were. He replied “but remember that you ordered a starter”. So what? We wait one hour because two of us shared a starter? Are we penalised for taking a starter? Or is it still a revenge for not taking the aperitif? Anyway, he looked at his tablet, made a weird expression and went to the kitchen without saying anything to us. We all found this reaction surreal, given that we explicitly asked for information, but we ended up not receiving any.

In the meantime, the tables that had arrived after us were already eating. We were starving. It was past 2pm and no sign of our dishes. We realised that they probably forgot about our order, and they couldn’t tell us explicitly. While waiting for the food we noticed a few things. There were only two toilets collocated on the two opposite sides of the restaurant, and if you only had to wash your hands, you had to queue because there was one sink per toilet, beyond the door that was locked by the person sitting on the can. Why not having two doors? One for the toilet (to be locked) and one for the bathroom (not to be locked)? Another thing that we noticed is that, when making cocktails, the guy at the bar was grabbing the ice cubes with his hands. The same hands that he used to open boxes, cleaning the surfaces and touching the bottles. Not taking the aperitif turned out being a good choice after all.

Finally, the waiter came to tell us not to worry and that our dishes were coming. However, at this point we were not worried. We were just mad. Ten minutes later, the same waiter brought us our main dishes, without adding a “sorry for the wait” or any justification about the delay. The fries were brought in a small cup on the plate, which is fine. But then the waiter did something weird: he passed around the table and moved the fries out of the plate without even asking. I stopped him before he could even touch my plate, and I think I terrorised him because he immediately left. We were so hungry that we barely exchanged a word among each other. When we went to pay, the lady at the register just gave us the bill without even asking if everything went well. We pay and left.

The food was actually pretty good and well cooked, which is the reason why I’m giving two stars to this place. As for the rest (service, cordiality, organisation) we were rather disappointed. Maybe the problem was that our expectations were too high. Or maybe was it that we broke the unwritten rule of taking the aperitif as soon as we entered the place? We will never know because we are...

Seriously? Never again.

We could not be seated in the area where there was place enough. Three tables that could be set apart. We asked twice in a very friendly way. But it was not possible. We took a seat somewhere else. Not with a nice view over the mountains. But hey, we were thirsty. 😒 5min later we saw a couple having pulled the tables separate. And they could just sit there.

Okay, fine. Not nice, but we just shook out shoulders.

Then we spotted a very nice table for two. Perfect. As they did not take our order yet, after 20min... We changed table. We were planning on eating there.

Omg, the table next to us... She got so upset with them. And then she asked my boyfriend what he wanted to drink. After he told her ,she got upset again with the other table. She did not take my order. And left us. I called her, and then she started getting angry with us. She asked in a very hurried and annoyed tone if we wanted to eat. And we did not feel like that anymore... So she asked us to go and sit somewhere else.

We left. No hospitality....

There is only one reason why I am giving 1 star, and that is the view. The view is amazing and everyone working there knows it so they don't really care for the rest. I reserved a table with a view in advance and the receptionist got all the information, the date, the hour and so on, only to discover upon arrival that there are no reservations possible (!?). We were pushed from one table to another, wanted to order smth to eat but apparently they served not at the terrace we were seated. While we were told to change tables, another waiter gave our table to two young girls who just arrived, his justification: they reserved while we were told that they can not reserve a table for us. They don't really give a damn, the people come only for the view and the whole restorant is like a big manufactur where everyone does what they want without coordinating with each other. We left without eating although we drove 80 km and...
