Bossenstein Golf and Polo Club — Restaurant in Ranst

We had a weekend visit to Bossenstein for golf, and stayed at the hotel. ||||The golf course clearly has potential but needs more regular maintenance to achieve that. The greens were very slow, not just because of recent rain but did not feel as if they had been cut regularly. Lack of maintenance also clear in other elements of the course.||||The hotel itself was impressive to look at but was also clearly in need of refurbishment and a major overhaul. The food, especially the dinners were very good. The service was quite good, but they needed more staff for the number of guests.||||All that having been said it was a relaxing weekend. Not sure if we would travel down from Oegstgeest in the Netherlands again though - unless we heard that things...

Stayed here on business, because it was convenient for a local colleague. It is more club than hotel. Good grounds in an away from it location. Rooms clean, spacious and pleasant. Breakfast was good. Restaurant/bar is closed on Mondays (in fact the hotel is all but empty of staff on Mondays, no-one even on reception when I arrived) - so is most of the surrounding area - so be aware of that. It has a relatively limited service and facilities compared to a normal hotel. But I am sure great if you want to play golf (I didn't).
