Chalet de la Cruche — Restaurant in Ronse

For the Fiertel, a walk of 32 km around Ronse, last sunday (First sunday after Pentecost), more than 7000 people walked past this very popular bar, where the shrine stops, early in the morning. A medieval tradition that is still very popular among locals and walkers from all over Belgium.

The Belgian way of starting a pilgrimage of 32 km is also to empty with all of your boy-friends a bucket of beer. "What shall we do with the drunken sailors? Early in the morning..." And lots of local gin with roasted sausages will help the crowds to continue walking, although it is hot.

The very strange thing, this year 2023, is the smoke of a fire at the container park, that started on saturday evening and that at 3pm still wasn't extinguished. We had a nice dinner there. I tried the steak and it was perfectly cooked with some delicious sauce. You also get unlimited fries which was very nice.
