Mosselino — Restaurant in Schoten

After a hike on the Belgian-Dutch border we dropped in at Mosselino for a nice meal with "Zeeuwse"-mussels. Although we didn't have a reservation we where very welcome. The food, for my wife a pasta, myself mussels with flamisch fries in Thai style, was delicious. They are a gentle people that host you as guests and are very attentive to order sequence. Just a little nod sufficed for them to take up the orders. There was no pressure, even not when the restaurant filled up. The atmosphere was cosy, towards some guests even familiair with kisses etc. It appeared to be a well sought after restaurant with a lot of local guests patronizing the place. Very well...

Got a table at the last minute upon recommendation from the head chef at The London when we asked their recommendation for mussels. We had a different reservation for a place in the center, but were told it was super touristy and the quality wasn’t the best. This place is out of the center, but is where locals go to get moules friet. The homemade shrimp and mussels croquettes were outstanding as were the mussels, fries, and mayonnaise. 100% worth the Uber ride...

Warm and friendly reception, service was quick and very efficient, the food was excellent and would highly recommend visiting, will definitely see me back again. Only negative I found is that people park on the street which makes it totally impossible to see oncoming traffic, and therefore dangerous, especially considering that there was ample parking in the parking bays..... But guess people with big cars just...
