Le Mont Rigi — Restaurant in Waimes

What a great find. A small hotel and restaurant in a great location to visit the Spa race circuit and the beautiful surrounding areas. Nothing was too much trouble for the amazing hotelier, Christophe, and his staff who looked after me brilliantly. Whether it was arranging cars, ferrying guests to and fro, or using the local knowledge to help his guest the hotel is a perfect place to stay. Christophe, Corentin and all the staff were very friendly and helpful and would be at home in many 5 star hotels in the world S they really know how to look after their guests. The restaurant is quite big for the number of rooms they have and it seems a destination for many diners both at lunchtime and the evening where it was busy but still very accommodating and attentive with a nice atmosphere. There are so many little things that they get right, keep up the good work ! They have 10 rooms ( I think) only and although they are quite small they are beautifully appointed with many little things that belies the star rating they have. I stayed in room 7 which was just perfect with a terrace overlooking the forest. I think all the rooms on the first floor would have a terrace too, just lovely. I sent an email asking if the Brasserie/Bar was open on Sunday's,as I wanted to arrive on a Sunday, and if I could book a room ! The automatic reply system said 24/48hrs in order to get an answer ???? I mean really, a Hotel restaurant not being able to answer an email within a couple of hours ?? Absurd! 52hrs later, I still have not heard from these people ! I am going elsewhere ! I must now update this review ,as there was a "technical issue" with the email, and both Nicolas and Christophe(the owners) contacted me to offer their sincerest apologies. The situation has been resolved and we are going to stay at Mont Rigi this coming weekend, and it's location,which is well known to us is very beautiful, and the rooms look good,and restuarant/menu, we are excited to try . . .
