Viavai — Restaurant in Wemmel

Great Italian restaurant with super friendly, bi-/tri-lingual and helpful staff. There is always something interesting between the daily menu suggestions, which keeps me an my family coming back. There is a lot of space and multiple separate area's and corners which gives you that cosy feeling of having your own little space within the restaurant, unlike many other restaurants where they try to squeeze in as many people/tables as possible. The terrace is also a nice spot for some fresh prosecco on a sunny day.

Keep some space for dessert though! The Tiramisu is very fluffy and the zabaione (served per 2 people) is great!

I had the scampi and an Entrecote, also a house wine. The food was very good, though my definition of medium rare is a bit different, but never mind the language barrier (my French is quasi not existent, neither is my Italian). The house wine is perfectly OK and a good bang for the buck. The staff is very friendly and very entertaining, yet not affected or forced. I‘ll be back!

What can I say? This place is delightful. The food is delicious and the people are nice. If it is crowded the food will take some time to make, but is totally worth it. I think that the wooden tables would have been a better match to the restaurant.. I'm not really a fan of those metal tables.
