Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our dinner here very much. We walked into the restaurant, it was very cold!! It took a while to get helped by a very young server who looked like he just started working there. There was literally 1 couple there so not busy at all. We got our menus and ordered our drinks. When the food arrived we could smell a very strong cheese smell on the food, not the usual spices you smell on indian food. We didn’t think anything of it but still it was very strong. We asked for some tap water and git a jug. When we did get the bill we were surprised to see a 4 euro charge for the tap water! 500ml for 4 euros!! When paying for the bill the machine wouldn’t take the credit cards, this took about 4 times. Eventually the bill was paid, 140 euros later. I started feeling queasy in the evening, the next day i was full on reacting to something i ate at the restaurant. Two days later still..i had a meal with prawns, my husband had said when we were eating he thought they weren’t well cooked. I should have sent it back.. Woild I recommend this restaurant? While its in a nice area this restaurant is not good, prices are expensive and food isn’t good. So no,...
Read moreThe staff is friendly. We ordered via Social Deal and it was cool that their menu also had social deal included so it was easy to choose what we wanted without being confused. However with our large group it took us almost 2hrs for our food to arrive and it didn't really taste all of that. We've had Indian food before and one of us lived in India for a while and the food wasn't as authentic as we expected. The food is 'just fine' but really wasn't anything special. I did appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff was, but at the beginning they were confused of our reservation and at some points didn't seem to be on top of things. The restaurant in general was quite average with a little disappointment in the food, with agonizingly...
Read moreI went to this place a few weeks ago. This was a mistake. I ordered butter chicken and on the menu it looked very good. It looked like a tomato soup with 7/8 small pieces of chicken. That was already a bummer. But next to that, the tast of the food was not what I expected or am used to from an indian restaurant. I expected a nice rich Indian taste but instead it was soapy, unseasoned and unsalte. All this for 16€... I would not recommend going to this place. At other indian restaurants in Ghent you get A LOT more for the price you pay, and...
