Wok Paleis — Restaurant in Wijnegem

This is an all-you-can-eat place. The atmosphere isn't all that. Bring a group of friends if you want to have a good time. It's not always clear which types of food are right for the thing you're waiting in line for (there's grill, stir-fry, some teriyaki thing etc). I happened to have the right piece of meat for the grill, but a lady ahead of me apparently had something that wasn't supposed to go in the stir-fry, and instead of explaining this calmly, the chef just pointed to where she'd picked that up and said 'gone!'. She went over there and put whatever it was back. Then he accepted it and prepared her food. The act like everyone's been there ten times and knows all the ins and outs... They should be a tad more friendly. The food is acceptable, but not amazing.

To sum things up: it's okay if you go with a bunch of friends and aren't all that bothered with the quality of food (and friendliness...

I really liked this place! 35 euro per person all you can eat which was a little pricey but if you have a big appetite there's so much choice here. I could've easily had 7 or 8 platefuls of food if I had the capacity. There's many many self service options from pasta to sushi and also a teppenyaki/grill station where you can get freshly made meats and vegetables of your choice cooked in front of you. Desserts were available and again lots of choice, chocolate, ice...

In eerste instantie niet bepaald grote verwachtingen toen we aankwamen. Ik ging hier eten met mij gezin na een dagje Brugge omdat lag op de terugreis en we vonden dit op een Chinese social media platform. Toen we binnen kwamen werden we erg verrast. Het leek erg klein aan de buitenkant maar binnen zag het interieur er netjes uit. Ook verwachtte ik op het begin niet veel van het eten totdat ik een hapje nam bij de BBQ vlees. Het vlees smaakte verrassend goed. Toen ging ik door naar de teppanyaki en hier deed een vd koks echt zijn best om het goed op smaak te brengen en hij maakte er zelfs nog een kleine teppenyaki show van! De smaak was echt heerlijk. Denk toch wel een van de lekkerste Teppanyakis die ik gegeten heb. Ook de Cheesecake was super lekker. Wij zijn bij veel wereldkeukens geweest ook in Nederland maar de smaak hier was echt een vd lekkerste waar we hebben gegeten. Vooral de BBQ/Teppanyaki en Cheesecake waren echt overheerlijk. Normaal gesproken plaats ik geen reviews maar nu toch gedaan omdat ik echt super positief verrast werd. Ook de service is super top en de mensen doen hier echt hun best om je met een voldaan buikje de deur uit te gaan. Ik gun het deze mensen echt, omdat ze zo vriendelijk en super erg hun best deden, dus vandaar ook...
