The cow pens look clean and modern, but I strongly advise against eating ice cream there due to its poor quality, as it's clearly stored at the wrong temperature (this is evident in the texture, taste, aftertaste, and the condition of the freezer). The freezer where that ice cream is stored is a food inspector's nightmare. The huge layer of very dirty ice mentioned in reviews is still there. Why not just clean it? What's the point of keeping the cows clean and tidy and not caring about the quality of the final product?

Zo'n 8 jaar geleden was het er fantastisch, kwaliteit van de producten was in orde en het was er betaalbaar. De charme is er nog steeds, alhoewel ik het wel apart vind dat de koeien enkel op stal lijken te staan. Waarom niet heerlijk de wei in? Maar wat erg teleurstellend is, zijn de prijzen van nu. Pannenkoek met aardbeien en ijs is nu bijna 20 euro. Dat is in deze streek tegenover andere aanbieders, exorbitant hoog. En alle prijzen zijn immens hoog geworden, tenzij je enkel een ijsje neemt. Dat laatste is qua kwaliteit hard achteruit gehobbeld, hoofdingrediënt lijkt water (smelt enorm snel) en in het vanille-ijs ontbreekt vanille-extract en dus smaakt het gewoon naar een soort niet ergens naar smakend roomijs. Het lijkt meer een cash cow te zijn geworden. We gaan er graag heen, want de ervaring is leuk, de omgeving is mooi, het personeel is aardig, Billie de poes is lief en de koeien zijn geweldig. Maar de mensen achter het beleid zouden zich achter de oren kunnen krabben of dit nou echt de weg is die ze in willen slaan. Valt ons ook op dat het er steeds rustiger lijkt.
