If you want to have a meal at a good price at a typical flemish brasserie, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Its quite close to the E313 highway. From Antwerpen by car it would take you 20 minutes to get here. This place is hard to reach by public transportation, so i recommend going there by car.

Prices are good, the food is great, and they have a beautiful garden terrace. They even have some dishes prepared in grandmothers way.

Aanvankelijk goede ontvangst, vriendelijk onthaal. De leidinggevende had ons bij het binnenkomen onze gereserveerde tafel toegewezen. In samenspraak met haar konden we buiten op het terras gaan aperitieven, om vervolgens binnen plaats te nemen voor het hoofdgerecht. Alles leek vlot te lopen tot op het moment dat we naar binnen gingen. Eén van de serveerster -die overigens zeer vriendelijk en attent was!- begeleidde ons onopzettelijk en met de beste bedoelingen naar een andere tafel dan ons oorspronkelijk was toegewezen. De leidinggevende ging er kennelijk verkeerdelijk van uit dat wij moedwillig een gunstiger gelegen tafel inpalmden. Bovendien hoorde ik haar op een oneerbiedige en boze toon tegen haar collega over onze tafel spreken ("wie denken ze wel dat ze zijn", "dat vind ik er los over", enz.) en werden we onvriendelijk verzocht te verhuizen. Mijns inziens kan je dit op een andere manier aanpakken en met een open en vriendelijke houding de klant aanspreken om eventuele vergissingen uit te klaren. Toppunt van de avond: bij ons vertrek zat de leidinggevende zelf met haar entourage aan de beruchte tafel te eten.

Enkele tips naar klantvriendelijkheid toe: Geef de klant de beste zitplaatsen (in plaats van er zelf plaats te nemen). Zorg ervoor dat de klant in kwestie het niet hoort als er achter zijn rug om (onterecht oneerbiedig) over hem gesproken wordt. Een cursus rond gespreksvaardigheden is...
