Ristorante Pizzeria Mercato — Restaurant in Zaventem

We found our new favorite italian restaurant in the heart of zaventem right next to the city hall. Arriving at the restaurant we could tell that we were going to have a wonderful experience just by the number of customers they had and the warm welcome we received. The menu is quite big with a lot of options to choose from. They obviously specialise in pizzas but we opted to try their other dishes instead. For the starter we went for the Tagliere Mercato which was absolutely delicious and almost perfect if only it had a piece of mozzarella di buffala it would’ve been excellent. For the mains my son had the trio di pasta, filetto di manzo al gorgonzola for the wife and the filetto alla rossini for myself. All three were delicious and the steak’s were perfectly cooked and arrived hot at our table. Service is also very friendly and attentive. An absolute must try if you’re in the lookout for a nice cosy italian restaurant in zaventem. Will definitely be coming back to try their pizzas. Grazie mille al team per la meravigliosa...

Bad service alert. Not recommended for groups. They are too lazy to split a bill. They created a huge issue for me and my colleagues traveling from différé parts of the world. Everybody was shocked by our very rudely said they could not allow us to pay separately. The food was ok, nothing remarkable. The place is very noisy. Food is ok, large choice of pizza and pasta. Main courses are served in Belgian style with plain cooked pasta on the side. Something you would never find in Italy. Ask for fries instead. The tiramisù was ok, although not like the original Italian and the biscuits were not well wet in coffee. Rude waitresses For a consecutive time, I found the waitresses in this restaurant with absolutely no manners or cordiality towards their clients. With the wish to dine in, I was approached at the entry with the question „ what do I want“?! Moreover, as I was accompanied by my elderly father with a reduced mobility, who took a seat already at a table , the staff requested me to move at a table of two while we were 3 ( with the mention that the restaurant was with plenty of empty tables).
