A must visit place if you are interested in WW1. Johan, the owner, is a mine of information about the fighting in the area (Polygon Wood ) and an expert on tunnelling in the Great War. He has a museum on the premises and numerous photos of archaeological digs. Read moreThis is a great spot, run by the amazing Johan who is an archaeologist. Not only was it good food (tasty Flemish stew) and drink (the Brothers in Arms beer on tap), but the small museum upstairs is packed with an array of archaeological finds. It was a highlight of our day walking around Polygon Wood, to hear the personal stories from Johan and see his work.
