All 5 kids love Carms. Thus Cordon Blue which one teen son said was "scrumptious" is pictured. The young girls enjoyed folding their cloth napkins while waiting for the food. Food, drinks and service are amazing. We love the fast menus as well as the special dinner menu. Local foods made with creativity are served beautifully. Carm's son offers fun complex mixed drinks only made with the good quality stuff. The bathroom is always clean and stalked. The small table offers a good good variety of baked goodies too. Carms banana bread is coveted and sells out quickly, we were also lucky to smell the cinnamon rolls come out of the oven while there and tried those. Everything we order is delicious, just as good or better than any other place in the...

We happened to be driving by looking for somewhere to eat lunch after ziplining and I told my husband to turn around after we drove by because it looked so good. I could just tell someone poured a lot of love into the place from the setting. It did not disappoint. We had the pico de gallo and it was fresh and delicious. The fried fish and rice special was excellent, I ordered it for myself and my kids ended up eating it because it was so good while I ate their vegetable quesadillas. Carm came out to chat with us and was so incredibly nice, her son turned out to be the chef at the resort we were staying at, so the cooking skills run in the family! I loved the oatmeal...

We stayed in Cristo Rey, and weren’t quite feeling up to traveling to San Ignacio for dinner. After calling on our walk into town we learned that Carm’s was closed. They called me back on our walk home, and offered to send us home with some chicken, rice and beans, which we gladly accepted. When we arrived, they were apologetic for being closed and shared it was due to an unfortunate family matter. Not only was the food delicious but the generosity, to take the time to make sure we were fed in a time of family tragedy, spoke tremendously about the type of person running the restaurant. Thank you. We will visit Belize again, and we will...

An amazing evening! Everything was delicious! Enjoyed the fresh baked goods- started eating one cinnamon bread twist while we were waiting for our food and ended up buying a second one for breakfast the next day. Chicken roulade was exceptional! You are getting food equal to what you find in the resorts but at friendlier price! You can SMELL the fresh herbs wafting from the kitchen as they cook. Charming ambience, you will wait a while for your food- they are a small operation- but it’s well worth it. We also liked the jerk chicken fajitas, mango cheesecake and chocolate cake. All fresh. All so good!

Carm’s Restaurant in Cristo Rey, Belize is a hidden gem that delivers a delightful culinary experience with every visit. The food is incredibly tasty, beautifully presented, and far exceeds expectations, making it a true standout in the area. Family-owned and warmly run, the staff go the extra mile to make guests feel at home with their genuine hospitality and friendly service. Open early for breakfast and serving through lunch and dinner, Carm’s offers fresh, homemade meals and baked goods that showcase both care and flavor. Definitely worth a stop — or several!

Wonderful roadside restaurant just outside of of San Ignacio & Santa Elena. The first photo is a fry jack sandwich (fry bread, with chicken, bean, cheese, & fresh pico de gallo) - Absolutely Amazing!! The second photo is a Stuffed jack - fry bread (like an empanada but larger) stuffed with shredded chicken, beans,& cheese. -Delicious. Also, some of the coldest beer in the Cayo region. Freddy is an excellent mixologist/ bar tender - with some very creative cocktails. TLDR- Go enjoy some incredible local cuisine and unique cocktails.!
