I have been to this restaurant multiple times. It pains me to lay eyes on the building. It's like torture every time.......I don't enjoy pain, but I have visit this place regularly. One positive is the decor. That's all I have to say regarding that. However, the service is an embarrassment. I have consistently been treated almost as an inconvenience to the serving staff rather than a customer. They regularly get your order wrong, ignore certain requests, don't keep track of your table and offer no apology, then have the audacity to ask for a tip. Here's one, learn to do your job correctly. The food is as consistent as the weather in Belize. One day it's great. Then next it's a torrential down pour of misery. The chips would be hotter if I'd left them in the sun to cook because every time I receive them their cold. The portions are large. Had to think hard to find that compliment, but then again that's not particularly consistent either as your likely get a random selection of boneless wings from the some of the smallest chickens in Belize while your pal is there munching down double your portion. In fact it's probably your meal because the staff gave it to him instead, all the while your buckling in for a three hour wait, nursing a Coke when you actually asked for a Fanta. At least you can get merchandise to remember your visit and to signify that you survived a visit to Di Bruwry but your likely get sectioned for having been driven insane. Visit only if you...
Read moreI typically have a good experience at The Bruwry, except this time around - so I thought it would be good to leave some feedback. The service was not the same, with the server rolling their eyes when we were trying to place our order. I believe this happened because the server forgot to bring their notepad and ended up writing the order on the back of a coaster. It was instantly off-putting. They also brought us the wrong order, for both dishes that we ordered. They, however, apologized for the error. The food itself was not how I remembered it either, which was also unfortunate - for the purpose of the post I won’t get into it. Additionally, the establishment was inundated in flies (which can’t be helped sometimes - I know). And finally, the bill was incorrect, which the server mentioned was because of a new system being implemented. She was kind enough to omit the charge from the bill.
We did enjoy the cheesecake, but it ends there. If anything, truly hoping for an improved experience next time, and a more consistent...
Read moreWe were exited to take our visiting family because of the drink menu. We made a reservation 24hrs in advance. Was given the option and chose lower seats because we were bringing children. When we showed up they just gave us separate booths to choose from, until we stood there all 19 of us asking them to put the empty tables and chairs together. Many items on the menue were unavailable. Onion rings came out smelling and tasting burnt and when we sent them back the offered to remake them, but said they would probably come out the same. The waitress didn’t seem to have much knowledge about the drinks besides the names. Came on a Sunday which closes at 10pm, but when we went to leave monitors to 9pm, they had closed the till for suvenirs. Lost many sales from our family who were hoping to take back something special. Expectations were high because of the quality of the drinks, but everything else...
