Bliss Beach – Caye Caulker, Belize

Bliss Beach truly lives up to its name — a peaceful and friendly spot that captures the relaxed, “go slow” vibe of Caye Caulker perfectly. It’s the kind of place where time seems to pause, and all you want to do is soak in the moment.

Getting there is part of the adventure. While the easiest way is to take a ferry (about 10–20 Belize Dollars / $5–$10 USD one way), in my opinion, the best way is to bike. You’ll still need to take a quick one-minute ferry ride across the Split (about 5 Belize Dollars / $2.50 USD round trip), and those ferries run frequently throughout the day. Once you’re across, just follow the signs to Bliss Beach — don’t rely on Google Maps, as it’ll lead you the wrong way.

The bike ride itself is beautiful and peaceful. Our Airbnb provided free bikes, which was a huge plus. Along the way, we saw iguanas, birds, and other wildlife — a great reminder of how natural and untouched this part of the island still feels. Just make sure to head back before dark or before it rains, as the path can get tricky then. We felt completely safe throughout the ride. If you’re visiting in the summer, prepare for some serious heat, but even then, it’s absolutely worth it.

Once at Bliss Beach, plan to spend the whole day. The place is big and beautifully set up for relaxation. The food was delicious, the drinks were refreshing, and the service was outstanding. My girlfriend had a hamburger that she loved, and although I wasn’t hungry, I enjoyed a few drinks that perfectly matched the ocean vibe.

The beach itself is gorgeous — white sand and turquoise water — though not quite as pristine as the beaches you’d find in the Mexican Caribbean or the Dominican Republic. Still, it’s a special place. It’s perfect for a group day out or a romantic evening to catch the sunset. The hammocks over the water are the cherry on top — so peaceful and relaxing.

Overall, Bliss Beach is exactly what you hope to find in Caye Caulker: chill, scenic, and full of good vibes. Don’t rush this one — it’s a full-day experience you...

Title: Beautiful Island, Terrible Experience at Bliss Beach

I absolutely love Caye Caulker and have had many wonderful experiences here—but I would never recommend Bliss Beach to anyone.

Like Ana’s review, I found both owners (who are not Belizean—likely Canadian or French) to be extremely rude, dismissive, and operating with blatant double standards. They told me directly that the posted rules don’t apply to them because they “own the place.” That alone says a lot.

They require guests to keep dogs on leashes, yet their own dog—who resembles a pit bull—was roaming freely and ended up attacking my wife. When I brought this up, their response was, “We own the place, we can do what we want.” After 10 minutes of trying to reason with them, it became clear I was dealing with two entitled and unreasonable individuals.

The beach is remote and not worth the long trip. There are so many other amazing, locally owned spots on Caye Caulker where you’ll be treated with kindness and respect—regardless of your background or nationality.

Support local businesses that reflect the true spirit of Belize. Bliss Beach is not...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pure Bliss – A Hidden Gem You’ll Never Want to Leave

Bliss Beach lives up to its name in every possible way — the atmosphere truly is bliss. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed into a serene, beautifully maintained space that feels like a secret hideaway or a private resort — but one where everyone is invited.

The staff are absolutely wonderful — infectiously friendly, warm, and genuinely caring. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. All they ask in return is that you support the beach by enjoying a beverage or some food during your stay — a small ask considering the experience they provide.

The grounds are pristine, thoughtfully curated, and full of charm. The beach offers countless little nooks where you can lounge, unwind, and soak up the peaceful vibe. The water is clear, calm, and refreshing — perfect for a dip or a bit of exploring.

Whether you’re looking for relaxation, connection, or just a perfect place to spend the day, Bliss Beach delivers. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to keep it a secret, but it's too good...

The spot is very laidback and has a small nice beach. The drinks were pretty good and it is quite easy to reach this location via the ferry from the Split in Caye Caulker. However, my overall experience was unpleasant because I experienced a micro-aggression from one of the servers when I visited on 01/19/2025 between the hours 12pm and 1pm. I was not given the same courtesy as other customers. When my food order was ready, for some reason the server asked me to carry my own tray to a table. From my observation customers of other ethnic backgrounds were not asked to do the same. Later on while relaxing in the water same server asked me to share my table/seating area with other people when there were other tables and seats available. The above experiences made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome to the point that I had to end by beach day trip earlier than anticipated. Then to make matters worse I got stung by a bee which ended leaving a permanent scar.

Bliss Beach has changed the Game! & for the better ✨ Having grown up in Belize all my life, Caye Caulker has always been a must do island getaway. Though the island has a lot to offer bliss beach has quickly become one of my favorite locations to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy quality cocktails & food! The beach is peaceful and a perfect place to watch the sunset. The owners are French and have perfectly entwined the experience there to be a mix of a Caribbean paradise with lively house music- offering the island something different for entertainment. The family there has completely embraced Belize as their home! & how can I forget to mention, there is the sweetest dog on the property - Oscar! He is a pit, but the biggest baby out there. You can’t say you’ve stayed at bliss beach if you don’t end the day giving him some pets and seeing him run around with his pink chicken squeaky toy! Definitely a must do destination.
