This is my preferred coffee shop, in Spanish Lookout. Hector (the owner) loves coffee, and he has the knowledge to back it up. Hector is the founder and owner of My Coffee. Before starting this business he used to work for "Gallon Jug". Gallon Jug is one of the largest coffee producers in Belize. While working at Gallon Jug he experimented extensively with different roasts and different blends of local and imported coffee. Initially he tried to use as much as possible only Belizean coffee beans, however due to the low altitude in Belize, all the coffee that is grown in Belize tends to be bitter. Over the years Hector has experimented with freshly imported coffee beans from the neighboring countries like Honduras and Guatemala, always striving to find the perfect blend. During this time he has found some of the most reliable and tasty coffee producers in Guatemala, and has struck up some really good relationships with these producers. He can now get access to some of their most exclusive premium coffee beans. If you are a "coffee nut" then I would recommend the next time that you are in there to ask Hector if he has any special samplers in stock. He may just brew you a special one off blend or roast that he is currently working on, it experimenting with. If he like you he may even sell you a small bag full of grinds from these experimental coffees. Please make sure to pay for your samplers, or else leave Hector a tip, because he tends to be much too nice. 🙂

Not only is the coffee amazing (I’ve had more than my fair share of their Morning Starter espressos — totally addicting), but let me just say this loud and clear: THE TACOS. ARE. NEXT LEVEL. 🔥🌮 I don’t know what magic they put in them, but I’m not asking questions — I’m just ordering more.
The vibe is cozy, clean, and always welcoming. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick pick-me-up or camping out with your laptop, it’s the perfect spot. And the staff? Super friendly — like you’ve been friends for years.
Come for the coffee, stay for the tacos, leave with a smile (and probably a craving to come back tomorrow). 😄
Go. Sip. Munch. Smile....
Read moreAs a Canadian I spent a week in Belize trying to find a coffee that wakes up mind and heart with the first sip. On my last day in Belize I found this Gem. Amazing customer service, followed by amazing coffee (the owners special roast) and amazing food. I had three breakfasts tacos. A beef one, a chicken one and a pork pibil one. The pork one was by far my favourite. I most definitely recommend this place as a must visit when in...
