Speciality Inn — Restaurant in undefined

Stopped into Specialty Inn for a quick work-break lunch with a colleague and quickly saw why it racks up awards for both its diner classics and pizza. The menu is impressively extensive—everything from all-day breakfast to sushi.

I went the breakfast route: two perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful beef sausages, and a stack of chocolate-chip pancakes that landed in the sweet-spot between fluffy and rich. Nothing disappointed. Bottomless coffee kept the momentum going; I polished off a couple of cups and never once had to flag someone down for a refill—service was that attentive.

Other pluses: spotless washrooms, friendly staff who kept things moving without rushing us, and enough variety on the menu to justify several return visits (I’m eyeing the pizza and sushi next). Specialty Inn delivers on its reputation—well worth a stop whether you’re in for a quick bite or a longer...

Table for 2, Friday morning. A short wait to get in at 8:45 a.m., welcomed by a pleasant host to provide us hand sanitizer, and direct us to our booth. Had a nice breakfast with a friend of mine. Eggs Benedict with freshly made biscuts - they bake their own fresh bread and biscuts here which makes all the difference people! The eggs were well done, and was the first time my friend had poached, and so she was looking forward to the "runnyness" (if thats even a word?). We called the server over to mention the well done eggs and if possible to have 4 poached-soft/medium prepared. No problem! No extra charge on the bill either. Good atmosphere and always a good choice to sit down or grab and go from this local diner...

I would highly recommend this restaurant for fast efficient service and good family cuisine. I ordered a ‘Party Pizza’ (must be done in advance) and was so impressed. It was huge! I literally could not fit it into my oven to reheat. I had to do it in 2 segments. At just over $40, it easily feeds 24 people ( or more) which is just over $1.60 per person! Wow!
