Stara Ada — Restaurant in Banja Luka

We had our wedding in this beautiful location with around 240 guests and can more than fully recommend to anyone (domestic or international guests) to visit this special place. Apart from the amazing location on the island for concerts, weddings and other parties, the location has a more than excellent restaurant with such tasty food, amazing and chill atmosphere and a fast and very good service. Everywhere you looked it was clean and had a luxurious touch. We were more than proud to host our wedding including 70-80 international guests from all over the world in Stara Ada. The food and drinks were excellent and the very kind and fast service did an amazing job. A special thanks goes to the manager Milenko "Mile" who did an amazing job and fulfilled all our wishes and has an amazing eye for every detail - thank you Mile! All our guests from all over the world were fascinated by this beautiful location with its amazing food, service, atmosphere and detail to the eye. We have also stayed in the hotel/ apartment and have been very happy with its comfortable bed and overall clean details. Therefore fully and honest recommendations to everyone to visit this place for at least a nice dinner and also full recommendation to everyone to do the wedding here - it was exceptional and felt like a dream. I was getting married at Stara Ada on June 22nd, 2025. I don't know where to start. Everything was perfect. Location of the restaurant settled on a small island surrounded by river Vrbas to give you the privacy you need. The set up was great. The food was out of this world. The service, I can’t talk about the rest of the service but my waiter was very attentive and made sure my table did not lack anything. The restaurant manager Milenko was communicating with me and my now wife the whole night and made sure we understood everything, had everything and anything extra we asked for, we got it. Since the bride is from USA, we had approximately 30 people traveling from there! They were absolutely amazed by everything and said they never tasted better food, saw better service or cooler place to have a venue. Overall, my experience was 10/10, not 5/5! A Restaurant That Radiates Balkan Tradition

This restaurant immediately screams Balkan tradition the moment you step inside. It’s spacious and ideal for both small gatherings and large groups. The interior is luxurious, with a lot of attention to detail that captures the charm of a traditional selo (village) setting.

The food options were excellent, and the portions were very generous. There’s something for everyone on the menu. While the drink selection was a bit disappointing I was expecting more traditional beer options. Rakija was outstanding. They also offer a selection of high-end spirits, though those are on the pricier side.

One downside for me was that smoking is allowed indoors, and the air conditioning doesn’t do a great job of clearing the smoke from the air.

Other than that, the restaurant is definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for something a bit more special and leaning toward fine dining. And with the portion sizes, you definitely won’t...
