Bonita Gardens Cafe - Palapye, Botswana — Restaurant in Central District

A charming spot with beautiful greenery and lots of trees. The outdoor area is lovely, though I did notice some spider webs under the chairs. Nothing major, but worth a mention.

The staff were friendly and super relaxed, which added to the chilled and laid-back vibe of the place. It's a small place though, and the layout felt a little cramped, likely due to the limited size plot.

One downside for me was the location. It is quite far and not the easiest to get to, especially if you're not from the area or not already in it. I'd be more likely to return if it were closer to the A1 or in a more accessible spot like at a mall.

We’re visiting from Australia and travelled through Palapye and heard about Bonita Gardens. We were amazed by the gardens but especially impressed by the super friendly staff and the owners. Their smiles were a welcome sight after a long drive. The food was delicious, especially the ribs and the Bonita burger and the Malawi shandy was perfect. Managed to squeeze in the best tasting waffles I’ve ever had after the HUGE servings of ribs! Definitely recommend to anyone! Edit: We returned to Bonita Gardens and had another incredible meal. Adding the chicken slaw burger to our favorites list! Everything was excellent - and the gardens have become more beautiful over the past year.

Everything I've had has been excellent, including the best burger I've had in Botswana. (Try the Bonita Burger and a Rose Lemonade - you won't be sorry.)

House made desserts, incredible coffee and an oasis like setting make it a place I'll be coming back to every time I'm in Palapye.
