Botswana Craft, located in Gaborone, Botswana, is a captivating haven for art enthusiasts and culture seekers. As the largest handcraft center in the city, it weaves together the rich tapestry of Botswana’s artistic heritage. Pottery and Jewelry: Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by an array of handcrafted pottery and jewelry. Each piece tells a story—whether it’s the earthy tones of a clay vase or the intricate beadwork of a necklace. The craftsmanship reflects the soul of Botswana. Handmade Artifacts: Botswana Craft proudly showcases a diverse collection of handmade artifacts. Among the treasures are the iconic Botswana baskets, meticulously woven by skilled artisans. These baskets, with their geometric patterns and natural materials, epitomize both tradition and innovation. Great place to buy souvenirs and have lunch. Everything you want to bring home from Botswana (except for diamonds) can be found here - magnets, toys, jewelry, figurines, ceramics, ostrich eggs, Impala horns, statues, games, apparel, an endless variety of woven baskets of all shapes and sizes, woven plates, coasters, tablecloths in traditional Botswana colors and patterns, full grain leather hats that will last you a lifetime and cost as good as nothing. Spent over an hour looking at everything and buying some beautiful crafts. Well worth the visit. Lovely staff. Easily accessible by car.

Located within Gaborone. It's along the highway and easily accessible by taxi or combi(public transportation van) . Beautiful curio shop with African jewelry made of beads and also some woven items. There are art carvings and collectables. The premise has a restaurant named Courtyard and a conference center. The menu is quite broad and fairly priced. There's ample and secure parking spaces inside and outside the gate. The restaurant offers very delicious local food.. friendly staff and well ventilated and cool water sprinklers. There's ample sitting area too even for large crowds.

One of my friend’s grandmothers, who always boasts about her unbeatable Swana cooking, visited from Maun. She was convinced no one outside the villages could prepare authentic Swana food. I took her to Botswana Craft, and the experience changed her mind completely.

She ordered oxtail with dumplings and a few other dishes. The food arrived hot and fresh, the presentation and decorations were wonderful, and even the starter bread with butter was amazing. She enjoyed the food so much that she insisted on ordering more — and to my surprise, she happily finished two to three dishes.

She left saying, “Thank you very much, this place is fantastic.”

So, if you want truly authentic Swana food in Gaborone, Botswana Craft is the...

My second dining at this place and I wasn't impressed as the first time. I ordered pork chops and got something that looked like beef on my plate. Also, I couldn't taste the animal in the serving as the meat was overspiced and overdressed. The presentation of the roast vegetables looked amazing though... less the oil they used. -it was a bit much and not well to my palate. Once again, the atmosphere was superb. Shady outdoor scene with the odd second-hand smoke coming my way.. My waiter seemed a bit tired on the day. Like she wanted to be elsewhere, which made me wanna be elsewhere...
