Read moreOne of my friend’s grandmothers, who always boasts about her unbeatable Swana cooking, visited from Maun. She was convinced no one outside the villages could prepare authentic Swana food. I took her to Botswana Craft, and the experience changed her mind completely.
She ordered oxtail with dumplings and a few other dishes. The food arrived hot and fresh, the presentation and decorations were wonderful, and even the starter bread with butter was amazing. She enjoyed the food so much that she insisted on ordering more — and to my surprise, she happily finished two to three dishes.
She left saying, “Thank you very much, this place is fantastic.”

Also, I couldn't taste the animal in the serving as the meat was overspiced and overdressed. The presentation of the roast vegetables looked amazing though... less the oil they used. -it was a bit much and not well to my palate. Once again, the atmosphere was superb.
