I could have given a 4 or 5 but my experience was tainted by the cleaners coming to escort me to go get my baby's nappy from the bathroom trash coz they said it stunk up the place and that management doesn't allow that customers throw nappies in the trash. So yes I crossed the bar area from the last chairs in the garden escorted by two women (cleaners) to go get my ish. People that'd seen me going and coming out the bathrooms with my child probably thought I'd messed up the place, but no I'd used the only trash can I could find in the place without messing anything up. I asked the women what I should then do with the nappy, if I should cross the bar area with a stinky nappy and put it at our table. They could only offer me a black trash bag to put the trash bag (of pads n tampons that I'd taken out and tied) and that they'll show me the trash bins outside and that the next time they'll do me a favour and keep a trash bag just for me in the restrooms. You can't say you accept babies and then not cater for their needs. This experience really upset me, Botswana can do so...
Read moreI came tonight tonight with some business leaders and executives whom I promised Botswana’s good steaks. We booked a table under progressive institute with about 20 people. I with enthusiasm thought it a good idea to share a meat platter with my colleagues. The waiters failed to tell us upfront that there was a ribs shortage. To my my horror what arrived was a full platter of wings with sprinkles of beef (overcooked meat).
Incredibly embarrassing that we brought potential investors to Gabs to experience sub par treatment.
We requested that the full wings platter be redone to something aaceptable, for context one of the executives works on a poultry farm so this was insulting to her.
We eventually got a subpar meal of overcooked beef strips and some chicken wings. Lost our appetites & decided on takeaway.
Upon arrival at the hotel half the meal was actually packed. This is disgraceful.
Not sure I’ll bring again investors...
Read moreI went to this place for breakfast and I ordered an omelette. I told the waiter that I wanted the omelette to come out hot. I also told him that I wanted hash brown potatoes. Unfortunately, the omelette came out lukewarm making it very unpleasant to eat and he served me chips instead of hash browns. He arbitrarily added the chips without asking me for an alternative.
I don’t like sending food back because I don’t like to be disappointed. I paid the bill and the manager came over and asked how was everything. Once she found out that I was not pleased, she offered me any meal that I wanted on the menu. I didn’t take anything because if they’ve disappointed once, I don’t want to be disappointed twice.
I’m not sure I would recommend this place right now, it’s not at the top of my list for places to have...
