I was intrigued by this restaurant and me and my partner decided to try it for lunch on our last day in Pirenopolis. From the moment we arrived we felt very comfortable and the place and chef had a great energy. We were impressed with the open kitchen and it was great watching the chef do everything on his own from scratch with self made ingredients super fresh. I have been travelling Brazil for some time and this is by far the best vegetarian restaurant I have found. The food was delicious. I spent 3 days in Pirenópolis and I ate here with my partner every day. The owner was even kind enough to open early for us the day we were leaving Pirenópolis. Along with the beautiful waterfalls, eating at Hetienveg was the highlight of our trip to Pirenopolis. This is the first google review I have ever done because the food was...

A must try experience when you are in Pirenopolis. The food is so delicious,much more than anything we had eaten in other places and you can watch a person who is self actualized in what he does. Comida incrível, ambiente excêntrico e chef atencioso. Pedimos um yakisoba com "carne de cogumelo" e pasta BBQ de baru e a mistura ficou deliciosa. O chef taiwanês preparou tudo na nossa frente, dava para ver que tudo estava bem fresquinho. Para beber, experimentamos o chá de cajuzinho que casou muito bem com o sabor do prato. Tanto o chef, quanto a comida e o ambiente são uma perfeita fusão dos temperos asiáticos com os ingredientes do cerrado... uma pitada de Taiwan e outra de Pirenopólis, tudo junto e misturado. O local é tranquilo e cada dia da semana serve um prato (mas yakisoba tem todos os dias). Recomendo Hetien Veg para quem ama comida asiática mas quer ser surpreendido por algo diferente e também pra quem não come carne e está cansado de comer sempre as mesmas comida vegetarianas!

O chef é de Taiwan, prepara pratos asiáticos, mas experimenta combinações ousadas com ingredientes do cerrado. Sua seleção de temperos e finalização dos pratos revelam um paladar apurado e sofisticado. Pedi um yakimeshi de verduras com hamburguer de cajuzinho do cerrado e, por sugestão do chef, inclui o adicional de pasta de castanha de baru, o que resultou em um sabor único, reconfortante, que não vou encontrar em nenhum outro lugar. Além de se deliciar com os pratos, não deixe de conversar com o chef e saber um pouco mais de sua história e seus experimentos com os sabores do cerrado. É inspirador.
