CTG Saudade Da Querência — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de João Pessoa

“Gaucho” is a word that roughly translates as “cowboy”, but has different meanings in the countries it is used. Pronounced “GOW-cho” in Argentina, but in Brazil it is pronounced “ga-U-sho”. In Brazil, this term refers to people from Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state in the country of Brazil (which borders both Argentina and Uruguay). CTG stands for The Center for Gaucho Traditions (Centro de Tradições Gaucho) and the “Saudades da Querencia” means (roughly) missing my place of birth. There are many CTG’s throughout the world (Gauchos are very proud of their heritage and culture). This particular one is located near the beach in the city of Cabedelo in Paraiba. This was my first time coming here and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The people are very friendly, the food is excellent (Gauchos are known for their barbecue, and it was terrific!). They really know how to season their meat. When I got there, they were barbecuing a couple of sides of beef, many pieces of pork and chicken and lots of other things too. Acho importante explicar que este local não é exatamente um restaurante, visto que só abre para não sócios no primeiro e terceiro domingos do mês. O prato básico é churrasco estilo gaúcho e diversos acompanhamentos. O preço é único e a pessoa se serve a vontade. Bebidas são pagas a parte. Não tem atendentes nas mesas. Cada um se serve e pega sua bebida que é anotada em uma ficha recebida ao entrar. As pessoas são simpáticas e atenciosas. A comida é bem gostosa e com boa apresentação. O ambiente é rústico (estilo galpão) mas bastante agradável. Ambiente familiar com muitos grupos e crianças. A propósito, possui diversões para crianças como pula-pula e cavalos. Tive a oportunidade de conhecer este de Cabedelo/PB e fiquei muito satisfeito pelo acolhimento das pessoas responsáveis e que atendem, é uma verdadeira família.

Nos 1 e 3 domingos de cada mês, tem um churrasco com costelão, que serve com saladas diversas, aperitivo na entrada e sobremesa com café passado, custando R$ 60,00/pessoa. A bebida é por fora. Fui em abril 2024.
