PARADOURO BORTOLINI RESTAURANTE — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Lajeado

Paradouro Bortolini Restaurante is a large Brazilian style buffet restaurant which is part of a travel center / gas station / truck stop on Hwy. 386 by Fazenda Villanova, 20 km SE of Lajeado, RGS. While it doesn't look fancy, the food is delicious and fresh. It is family friendly and an excellent place for groups as well.

The dining room is huge, and there are many tables throughout... There are no dividers, and little decoration, not the place I'd choose for an intimate romantic dinner with my wife, but the star is the food, not the ambience.

Get your plate and head for the food. Choose from a large variety of salads, vegetables, casseroles, pastas, rice, beans, potatoes, yucca (mandioca), to your heart's content, then head to the meats counter. At the meats counter, someone will offer you a choice of rodizio style meats available and place it on your plate. Then make your way to your table where a server will take your drink order and bring it to you. Pay on your way out.

Heading to the cashier you will pass through a few aisles of products for sale: souvenirs, foods (local honey, artesanal breads, snacks, homemade wooden toys, etc., including several styles of chimarrões (used to drink matcha tea, brazilian gaucho style).

There are restrooms as part of the travel stop. I did not see them, but everything I did see was clean.

I went here twice: once on a Sunday afternoon and the place was slamming. In spite of the large number of people (apparently, locals from the surrounding area love to eat here), the staff kept up with the crowds well. My second visit was on my way to the airport, and I stopped in for some coffee to go. Since it was early in the morning it was quiet.

Next time I am traveling in the area I will be sure to return, and hopefully,...

Local aconchegante, limpo, bonito, moderno e bem organizado! Cativa o cliente pela aparência. Porém, o atendimento péssimo e nojento da atendente da noite, setor dos lanches. Pedimos 1 café expresso e um cappuccino. Nos perguntou qual cappuccino, o que até então nem sabíamos que tinha diferença. E, ela sem paciência para responder perguntas simples. Estava resfriada, passando a mão no nariz que devido ao resfriado fica úmido, pegou os copos pra colocar na máquina, sem sequer colocar máscara ou ao menos lavar as mãos, um nojo! Sou altamente intolerante a lactose, por isso pedi um expresso. Ao alcançar os dois, ela entregou afirmando que “este” é o expresso. Ok, peguei... por muita sorte não provei em seguida. Meu esposo provou o dele e viu que não era o cappuccino. Quem ia tomar era eu... o que isso significa?! Muito, em questão de poucos minutos passo mal, com reações e sintomas terríveis devido a intolerância a lactose... mesmo se apenas colocar na boca um pequeno gole....

A higiene deixa muito a desejar, além do atendimento bem desleixados dos atendentes o lugar é cheio de moscas. Como será a cozinha? O local é um misto de loja de quinquilharias e restaurante. Parece que os proprietários não sabem oque querem, se restaurante ou lojinha. O pior de tudo foi o café. Pedi um expresso e veio aquela coisa horrível da Nestlé que vem de uma máquina que faz uma mistura de café solúvel em pó com água quente e eles chamam isso de café expresso. Um horror! Não sei como a Nestlé que faz coisas boas mas essa máquina não faz café expresso. Mas sim uma mistureba! Um horror! Nunca mais. Ah! ninguém dos atendentes ...
