Had lunch with group of friends. Roast pork had 3/4 of fat portion. Rice was good, though a tad dry, could have been better if a little more moisture to give a softer taste. Char siew / bbq pork and roast chicken were good. Didn't try the steam chicken. Wanted to try the roast duck but was not available. The oil lamp on the table was effective, as there were no flies in the restaurant. Parking was convenient and the surroundings were very soothing, though the place is quite remote. Inside was pleasant with some chinese idioms. Operation hours is from 7am - 3pm everyday except Friday close at 12pm. They do not open for dinner. Overall, will visit again and hopefully there will be roast duck available. note : 05 Sept 23, Tks the shop rep for the reply, nice to know they took it seriously and keep it up wif the excellent work and fast services..Revisited wif group of friends. Operation hours have been extended to 8pm. This time was delighted there was roast duck available. The self-help soup riched wif ingredients tasted wonderful. Now the main dish... All tasted good, nice, wonderful. The char siew is 100% lean meat, no fat at all, good for those who dislike fats. Due to the non fat meat, is a bit on the hard side. Other than that, tasted nice. This time the rice has improved and just nice which complemented the roast duck and char siew dish. Roast chicken and duck tasted supple and juicy..For that, upgraded to full 5 stars. I also love their teh and my friend also love the ice-coffee and we had a 2nd order for both of us. Was a real delightful lunch and ordered tabao to bring back to office to share. 5 thumbs up!!

Walked in on a Thurs morning @ ~1130hrs. Not difficult to find a seat. Service was prompt, and no frills. Prawn mee @ 6/10. The serving is generous. The broth taste generally ok for this place. If the prawn flavor is stronger, it will be nicer. Kolo mee @ 6/10. Generous portion. Mee is not overcooked, which is nice, keeping the noodle a little al dente. Char Siew bun @ 6/10 The serving of char Siew could be better. Taste wise is very decent. Kopi-C is acceptable. It would be nicer if coffee used is stronger (bolder in characteristic).

Recently opened new non halal chinese restaurant. They specialise in roasted duck and char siew, roast pork which taste so fresh as it is supplied by next door pork butcher shop. Tried their kolo mee with roasted duck & char siew. Not your usual Sarawak style kolo mee, they use thin egg noodle that is more springy & chewy, like Hongkong style. Also tried their tender steamed jagung chicken rice, all very good. Recommended to try.

The Good:

  1. The restaurant gives off old kopitiam vibes.
  2. Staff is very knowledgeable on the menu and the food.
  3. I was given free roasted duck for dining in for the first time.
  4. 3-portion set of chicken and pork taste amazing.
  5. Pricing is reasonable, if not cheaper than most restaurants.
  6. Plenty of parking even during peak hours.

The Bad

  1. Roasted duck is a little chewy.
  2. Ongoing issue of nimble flies trying to get your food.
  3. Restaurant space is limited and not a lot of seats.
  4. The location is pretty isolated from the main road. But if you know where Farmgate is, there should be no issue.

Verdict: If you are looking for a good place to eat roasted pork, duck, and chicken, I HIGHLY...
