I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite establishment and I must say, it’s an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling to Abidjan.

I had high expectations when I ordered Sauce Dah, which was my first time trying it. Since I love Sauce Arachide, I thought it would be a similar nutty flavor but it was a little different from what I expected. It was an enjoyable taste, but it couldn't come close to the majesty of pure Sauce Arachide! 🤣 I liked the generous portions of sauce and beef meats too!

I had never tried Kabato before, so I wanted to eat it with rice instead, but the restaurant had no rice.. 😢 Kabato was so-so. Sauce Dah seemed to taste better when eaten with rice, for me.

I know this place is famous and there will always be a lot of customers even if it's expensive, but I think a price 20% lower than the current price...

Love Maquis du Val: Consistent, delicious, and great variety. I have only experienced their take-out menu, but the premises is large, breezy, with full dining rooms and parking. My husband enjoys their traditional sauces and I LOVE their Croque Sandwiches. T he Steak Poivre is EXCELLENT, always has FRESH abundant Haricot Verts, and the poivre sauce is gourmet quality. Not so much for the Italian Spaghetti -- C.I. in general, has a different, rather difficult to comprehend, interpretation of Italian cuisine altogether.

NONETHELESS, we love Maquis du Val, great location, so close to home and delicious food....
