My first time going to Norima was in 2015 for my sister’s birthday. Prior to that day, we’ve heard nothing but positive reviews about the place. Alas, we didn’t have a good service and the food wasn’t great. The restaurant was also very small.
Few years later Norima went for renovations, as a result my friends and I wanted to witness its good praises. We hesitated because it wasn’t great years before, but we decided to give Norima a second chance. We went there last July and our time in the restaurant exceeded my expectations.
First of all, the place is gorgeous. They expanded the restaurant well enough and there is even a bar. Because it is an American restaurant, the decor emphasizes on the American loft design. As for the food it was really tasty; I took rib steak with French fries and it was cooked perfectly and was very juicy. They also serve a generous portion of the food so it’s magnificent. For the drink, I took an apple martini.
Overall, I was really satisfied with the atmosphere, the food and the service. I put 4 stars because our server wasn’t that careful with the drink. Anyway it is an amazing...
Read moreThis restaurant gives a nod to an industrial atmosphere, with its high ceilings, brick wall-papered walls and its furniture and decor in dark shades. Servers are pleasant. Food took quite a long time to get to the table and was just barely warm. The grilled tiger prawns (gambas) had a delicious seasoning and were succulent, but unfortunately one of the prawns (out of two) was slightly undercooked. I ate everything, though, because I was afraid if taken back to the grill they would get overcooked. It came with a portion of sautéed potatoes and a portion of a minty sauce that I did not like. The Alfredo vegetarian pasta was cooked al dente and was good, although quite spicy. The Virgin Raspberry Lemonade was refreshing but I don't consider that the price matches the (non-)complexity of the drink. All in all, I liked the meal but consider that, for the price range, more attention has to be paid to details like from-order-to-table timeframe and the temperature of the dishes when they arrive...
Read moreI went there for the first time on a busy weekend. I thought the place would be bigger but it wasnt a big deal and it wasn't very small anyways. The food took a long time to get to us and our burgers were undercooked and multi-colored, mine was burnt on the outsides but raw on the inside. When I brought it up to the waiter he told me that this never happens and that it was probably because of how busy it was. My friends who I was with also agreed that the service typically isn't this bad. There was a birthday there that day and I have to comment on the fact that the sudden birthday song and big, numbered balloons was a pleasant sight and I'd love to have my...
